Not too sure how much money Canberra have left, but I’ve always rated Batemen for a few seasons now.

The kids starting to come out of his shell and play some great footy, he’s also only 24 years old.

We should really be looking into this, if we can offload McQueen (POM quotes it’s likely) and with the remaining $ we have we could get it done

I wouldn't even see him as being in our best 17 and we don't have spots free for depth signings...

Usually concur with 95% of what you say Nelson.

However think you are well off the mark with Bateman - Better than Chee Kam, Rowdy (nowadays) and Garner imo.

Haha that’s alright- thought you were being a bit harsh on some of our boys there! I agree that John Bateman is a gun and would challenge Matterson for 1st picked.

I'm on board - the kid has only played 11 NRL games, never mind about 50.

Momo is fine as a centre/utility back. I'd have him ahead of Jennings, Marsters, Mbye and on par with Nof.

To beat the top sides we need pace and we have none. Literally no one in our top 30 is fast and could conceivably score a length of the field try. Brooks maybe just.

If we sign Lomax it won't necessarily be at the expense of Momo. He's done more than enough to keep his spot. Momo would work best with a fast player inside/outside him. Like when he took the intercept but had no chance of scoring, if he had someone fast next to him, we score. Instead he had Nof.
