No I didn’t, and it doesn’t back up what you’re trying to say either. They had to revise the offer but dogs swept in quickly and took him.

We didn't have the money to pay him so we were looking at a backended deal that we didn't have time to organise! That is exactly what I am saying!

So we could have got him, we just needed to backend it slightly and we didn’t have time.

Actually smarter than that increase payment to players extended this year ..so as to give more space in future caps..to sign better players

A year's a long time, Mbye may not even be here in 2021 or he could be playing hooker or utility. If Maguire is going to go out and sign Lomax though it'll be for good coin and he will play him in his best position which is at centre.

I hope that's not how we're lining up in 2021 to be honest. I prefer Momirovski as a centre (prefer more pace on the wing) and I'd be looking at options other than Mbye for 5/8. Maguire might invest another off season into Mbye at fullback if he thinks his form there this season was impacted by injury.

I think you are right, but I think Simpkin will be our number one hooker from what I have seen and read, so him and Liddle swap, assuming Liddle doesn't break again

We aren't getting new toys till we have finished or donated the old ones....
