Our most successful period as a team happened under Balmain steer. This is opening a can of worms but wests became more involved from 2012 ish if I recall. Could be wrong

Really, who cares what the business men in suits who are steering the business side have on their corporate logo, we are Wests Tigers, with a long two pronged history, and a united path forward, hopefully to finals and a few premierships.

2 from the Balmain Football Club
2 Independent members.

Yes, and why wouldn’t they. The Balmain connection proved they couldn’t run a chook raffle.

Straight after this post there are 4 or 5 highly defensive and somewhat argumentative posts defending historic ties. Putting crap on either Balmain or magpies just agitates those with passionate links to our founding clubs. The chook raffle comment caused the next posts.
Maybe an over reaction but we all need to be sensitive to our traditional roots

Who cares who runs/owns what as long as we have a football team to support every weekend???

I’m still hopeing and begging that we get him it may not pay off instantly but down the track if he gets his head space rite and fills into his body it will be the greatest signing in our history

Hope so, but luckily I choose to only take on the known facts seriously, so have been relaxing on the Ferris Wheel watching others taking on everything and spinning on the Zipper ride alongside.

Either way, depending on which ride we each chose, let us all hope it ends very soon.

It may be a sensitive subject in your mind, but I would appreciate you not accusing me of upsetting you by making a factual statement. Not that it means anything but I was a Balmain junior. Only followed one club in my life. It took me 3 years to get used to the merger. I now don’t see a merger or two teams, only one team. As a kid, who watched the 1964 gf,I was soaked to the bone jostling through the crowd while most were leaving the ground. Just to get a glimps of Arthur Sumons as he walked from the ground with Norm Provan. The flash of the reporters camera lit them up like nothing I’d seen with the dark clouds behind them. I went home that day in the belief that I had been the recipient of a Devine message. My future was clear, I became a halfback.

That wasn't my question though. The only way we're going to get any player here is money, at least for the time being. We don't have great facilities (yet) and our on field record is pretty ordinary. Until that changes we have to pay up if we want talent.
