I was reading with incredulity that Connor Watson is on $600k. I don't believe he is worth anywhere near that figure. Brooks apparently is on less than that amount.

Chad Townshend's stats are pretty average. I'd say there was more upside to keeping their young half now at the Roosters especially. With his goalkicking.

I think so, and from reports at the time I don’t think Guerra was cheap either.

It’s crazy really. Full of talent and potential but at the moment he’s a left foot step and a cutout pass which gets intercepted half the time. Defensively half the time he doesn’t even put the effort in. He’s still young so plenty of time to develop but it’ll be a lot harder when he’s on huge money

What would you think of having a look at another Roosters young half. Lachlan Lam, five-eight stuck behind Keary, former Aus Schoolboy. Had a decent season for the Bears last year in limited games, 13 games (10 try assists, 4 tries).

The worst recent recruitment mistake the club made was letting Papenheuzen walk before they had an answer from Tedesco. Hopefully they are on the right track now with Madge signing quality youngsters and not over paying for the likes of Reynolds, Mbye, Packer and Matulino chasing a quick fix.

Tedesco probably played the club like a violin, he seems like an egotistical, arrogant flog that would do that. Can't fully put the blame on the club if players are sly.

I actually dont think hes any of that...just a very talented young bloke ..yep,self confident for sure,but you have to back yourself ...who saw a club in the roostes that had stable management and coaching staff who cld bring the best out of him,and importantly support players who cld take some of the defensive focus from him and allow him to flourish.
I wld have made exactly the same decision tbh,but given WTs support during his legthy injury periods I wld have been more upfront and honest..and wld be donating $$ to the WTs junior system that enabled him to be the $$$ player he is today.
Were all different...but I still support Teddy despite the past...cant stand Moses or Woods(for different reasons)

Lovely testimony - the guy is still a $#%&. He knew he was going and should have told the club immediately considering they had carried him for 2 seasons when he was injured.

he said our management are in constant talks with the Warriors, and if they see a player in our club that they would like to be loaned to them Madge said he would be happy to oblidge, with no reserve grade this season he says that these types of loan deals are perfect for both clubs

Short term deals where we can call the players back if we need them seems like a smart idea. It’s not like the boys going there would be top level players, it gives them match fitness and helps the warriors who have already sacrificed so much and are down on players.

I’m all for it personally happy to send someone like Seyfarth, Bradley or Smith. Would be strange seeing a tigers player make their NRL debut for another club though 😂
