With them having essentially a second pre season and no byes you’d hope he lets them off a little early and not all the way to grand final.

I only watched him once ,he was in everything.

Everyone has recency bias with grant . He’s a great player for sure , but I say again , by all accounts and those in the know , Simpkin is better . We just have to be patient. I rate grant as well , but we have to be careful how we play this.we shouldn’t be breaking the bank for him, and potentially ruining a good business relationship with the storm. Because dummy half is just not a position of need for us. In saying that if we do snap him up I’ll be all for it .its a balancing act . I personally think the burton signing could and should be our number 1 ,as well as Staines/JAC or both. If we could come out of this offseason , with burton , hetherington, jac ,and Tamou, as well as stefano, that’s a massive upgrade in quality .

There is an article by James Phelps on page 102 of today's Telegraph which states that if Addo- Carr signs with Tigers it will exhaust the tigers' salary cap following the addition of Tamou.

That’s crap . The NRL won’t let you do it , as in our case we have 7-8 positions still to fill . You have to have at minimum 800k. I don’t believe a word coming out of the DT as they have been frozen out by our management . It’s all conjecture and speculation. If Chammas or Nicollusi says it than I’d be worried

I’m not that convinced. He is good but his biggest issue is he goes all in & doesn’t have the ability to pick/slow his decisions especially in defense. He does get found out back tracking from marker a fair bit. He also doesn’t have breaking speed. Cook is miles infront of him atm.

While I agree with you, when he played wide at lock/5/8 the other week he showed real footy smarts. He's a genuine footballer which is pretty rare these days. You could build a team around him.

I say he is better the both Braileys and Cook is 29 so id rather have him then Cook who will see his speed drop away.

I’m not saying I don’t agree with you , just he’s not at all top 5 dummy half in the game . Not yet . His kicking game sux,
His delivery off the ground needs work , and as others have said he is either all the way in or not at all . He has to pace himself . But is he awesome ? Of course. It’s basically saying you don’t like a Ferrari because you prefer a Lamborghini.

Both Braileys have never missed the finals , and cook is better today. The statement wasn’t who you’d rather build your team around it was “he’s a top 3 hooker “ of which he is not . I’ve said it already , If I have to choose , gun to my head , I prefer Simpkins and Liddle, not because I think they’re better , I worry that the upside of Simpkins could come back to haunt us , where as we really arnt losing grant as he is not ours to begin with. It’s basically because I’m loyal to our juniors. It makes no sense I know lol

He’s top 3. Cam and Korisau are ahead of him. Cook hasn’t been that good this season. Hodgson injured most of the season. The kid will play origin if not this year then next year.

Liddle at this stage is a much better NRL player than Simpkin, simply because he isn't an NRL player yet. I see our future DH as being Liddle if Grant goes - it is his gig unless Simpkin can take it away from him, not t he other way around.
