To be fare, those contracts were not the doing of this current Board. It would appear the get out clause in Brook's and Moses' contracts were a last desperate measure to get them to sign - along with a remuneration way above their current playing level. Other clubs targeted these 2 and were prepared to pay overs for them - we either matched those offers or they were gone. I really don't see how you can blame Go and the current Board for this mess.

If they have been there for all this time, and not been able to find this out a lot earlier( as there should have been a paper trail( even their contracts) then what have they been doing since they arrived, I would think that the first thing done would be to get across what we were paying out to whom.
If there's no paper trail them someone has a lot of explaining to do. And you would think that there could be legal ramifications.
If your right and we ,matched another club, then we are fools. To tie up this sort of money on unknown quantities is ridiculous for a club that is always crying poor mouth

I'm astounded that we will be paying our halves 1.2 Million dollars in 2017 . These Young player Agents holding us to Ransom. They would be $150,000 a Season at the moment at best .

This is a massive insult on Tedesco , this guy bust his gut week in week out and was held out to 12 week drawn out saga when he's always gone public to say his intentions was to stay with us during the 12 weeks last year.

I'm getting a Banner done and it will say " $600,000 pigs arse "

CQ The really idiotic thing is that we pay them each a sh*tload of money , then if they have started to play ok by that time they can hold a gun at our head for more money after we will have had been paying them massive overs for little return, the option should have been in the clubs favour.

To be top 4 in 2017 we need to sign a lot of better players than we currently have. I can't see good players wanting to join us. For mine to be top 4 in 2017, we need to sign an elite rep quality centre, just below rep quality centre/winger, a very good backrower (Gareth Ellis type), and an top level prop minimum. We probably need a few other better squad players as well. I don't think we have the cash or management to get the players we need. Unless we get some major rich benefactors to stump up very large money for TPA's to attract the level of players needed(if you want to join the elite you have to spend the same cash as the elite) we will struggle to scrape into the top 8\. Our management past and present is amateur hour.

If our 2 young halves continue to develop into top line players, which I think they will, $600k each will be as cheap as chips, compared to other clubs. I imagine the club is trying to build a culture of commeradory between the young team, where money is not the sole objective, but loyalty and mateship. This is a gamble, no doubt. Go Weststigers!

We need another Marshall to drop into our laps, and before the chants of we've got one start from the usual crew, just take a breath and get real.
