What's is there currently is suitable for the other sports that use it. Allianz and Homebush are too close for a govt to justify spending for our 5 games. IMO.

The main chance it has of getting approval is the community appeal it is a very busy oval for community sports

Looks like it's happening. The folks at Inner West Council think so anyway. Depending on the amount of funding, first priority is a northern ( grand ) stand, mostly corporate, then an upgrade to the fixed seating. Toilets come last...

I reckon those 8K people should be congratulated, and I feel a big majority would have been locals.
Why would 'fans' want to pay $$$ to watch our rabble when it was almost guaranteed prior to the game that we would get beaten with another pathetic display.
I can understand 'members' attending, but fans, no.
