Well if you're right then Roberts to centre, Douehi to six. Not entirely sure what I'd do in the forwards if we don't get Ofa. I guess we'd play Seyfarth? Oh yeah Musgrove. Just put him at 8 instead of Packer.

I personally wouldn't lock in AD at 6 yet. Reynolds was actually quite good in the 2 games that he started for us this year
I expect a very experienced squad for the first half the of the year. Remember that people like Stefano wouldn't have played a game for over a year and a half. I expect the younger ones to start with NSW Cup.

I just feel we need to start strong. An experienced team will help us achieve wins whereas the inexperienced team or those who have played less than half a dozen games in over a year and a half will need to be developed via NSP Cup.

A team of Packer/Reynolds/Mbye is more likely to get you wins in the first month than a team of Stefano/Blore/Seyfarth as they will be making a lot of mistakes. They need to make those mistakes in NSW Cup first.

I understand why the idea of including Reynolds or Packer seems bad, but for once I'd like to see us play our entire salary cap. They may not be worth what they're on but that doesn't automatically mean they shouldn't play. Without Marshall I am confident Reynolds is our best option at 6. I'd like to see how Packer plays with another senior forward like Tamou out there. I'd like to think his pride would force him to put in. Mbye might just make a decent bench utility but even still that's better than $800k on the sideline and I am just not sure that our side has 3 better players than these at full strength, in their positions especially, regardless.

And of course if they don't perform, they should get dropped. If they don't train well they don't get a start. But when I am penciling a team together at this point I am including them all.

Hmm interesting point. We also have Momirovski. We're kind of oversupplied with centres now with Roberts, Leilua, Talau, Momirovski, Douehi, Mbye all being able to play there.

With Benji gone Garner should move to the left with brooks again. Brooks gives him those nice short balls and kinda helps him in defence too

Doueihi and Luciano would be a good combo on the right. Sometimes Luc just needed earlier ball more often and I think AD will give that to him. The only issue might be his defence alongside his brother but Garner didn’t exactly defend well there either

Brooks and Garner next to each other in defence doesn't seem like it'd be Garner being the one doing the helping haha. Garner gets caught flat footed in defence a hell of a lot.

I understand a feeling of angst for Packer but I feel Reynolds has never shied away from work. His issue has been that he's had too many injuries with us.

I still have hope that they can provide us with something in their last year. They are both seasoned first graders literally playing to save their careers. They know they'll be lucky to get even a quarter of their salary next year even with a half decent season.

I also don't want Reynolds in No.14. He has the worst dummy half passing I've ever seen in my life. He's either 5/8 or not in the team.

The problem is Reynolds just isn't up to it. He looks completely shot. Packer had a couple of great decoy runs. Packer if he is on may be a decent bench prop for a couple of games this season.

Surely no coach would have either of those guys in their top team plans for next season. Fair enough if there are injuries but you have to pick the team on form. On form those guys aren't anywhere near our top team.
