You're employed as a commentator of the game, not a roosters advocate. You're not there to celebrate the win from the sideline.

If the commentators cannot be fair and measured, they shouldn't be employed. Guys like Billy Slater carry their selves so well when discussing the game and other teams that they haven't played for. It's a shame we've got weasels like Fittler, Brandy and many others in these roles.

It’s a poorly selected side based upon the level of talent that is missing out and the fact their form is far greater than those picked.

That said, this NSW side should have little trouble against QLD this series. QLD is injury hit and form is just awful. If you look over the past 3 rounds, the four QLD sides have returned 2 wins and a draw from 12 games played. If you add Melbourne as a surrogate QLD side, they aren’t fairing much better, only winning 1 from 3. Not looking good….

You blokes do this every year. Make NSW the overwhelming favourites and pile the pressure on them. Then watch them implode.

May probably said those comments after the articles questioning his character. Shouldn’t have said it, obviously an emotional response to the negative comments!
