A good coach will help fix a players defensive mindset, but very hard for any coach to teach layers to bust tackles.
Doueihi and Olam are the only 2 genuine tackle busting backs we have.
How do you score points to win games if you don’t have anyone who can bust a tackle ?
Cooper Cronk stated recently that the best form of defence is attack.
When a team’s attack is humming, defence becomes so much easier.

.....but it raises an interesting point when discussing an individual in a team sport
Utoikomanu was poor yesterday... But he wasn't alone and was a victim of our team getting raped... I would imagine it would.be near impossible for one player to post stats equivalent to those from a comprehensive winning team while the rest of his team mates post stats equivalent to getting flogged
Especially a front rower.
He showed he's not the player he's made out to be... Yet.

53 metres from your premier front rower in any game is pathetic, disgusting and weak. Yeah his tackles might be higher but his criteria is to make 100 plus metres each week. You can't blame the others around him, he just can't man up period.
I’ve read somewhere that JWH is going to super league next season, I’d be trying to get him to Wests for one season no matter the cost, he is someone who can drive standards and influence the younger players , a follow me example that we don’t have.One season won’t block any juniors.

AD has been playing NRL for years … when is a coach gunna teach him how to defend?
I don’t think it’s quite as easy as you are making out … a mindset can’t be “taught” …the player has to develop it himself if it’s not natural to him

Possession was 51%-49% to Roosters, time in possession was Tigers 26.15 minutes, Roosters 27.36 minutes, defence was Tigers 339 tackles, Roosters 332, so your assumption is as good as Steph's game, which was very ordinary

Glenn Lazarus always lead from the front in competive teams.
However he was smart enough not to be in a non competive team.
