The Roosters and Storm preparing a contract as we speak .. will not be around long , would say Fittler is already in his ear . This kid is way to good for this PARK footy organisation .

He will be the best prop in the game within 2 years.

I agree. His upper body strength is enormous. Very similar to Haas. Unfortunately if we don’t start winning you know what will happen in 2 years.

Quit your bellyaching you mob. Talking down a kid as not being loyal, he's barely even played a season.

Be playing origin soon enough. Seems the hype he got before he played first grade was deserved!

His leg speed for a man of his size is tremendous.

The commentary team give Madge no credit.
‘Really stepped up his game since training with the blues’
I think he has been pretty decent all year lol.

He has been decent all year but it is hard to argue that he hasn't gone to another level since the Origin camp. He has been our best player since then.

Please throw the damn kitchen sink at him

Money isn’t the issue. It’s getting a winning team around him. If we’re still bumbling round in 2023 and teams like the Roosters come calling, it will be Tedesco all over again.

Madge admitted as much in the post match.

A comment that stuck with me from Brandy was "he just needed a bit of confidence".. and the way he asserted that makes me think that Stefano was probably down on it until Origin camp.

Coming back to Madge, Firzy and Freddy are somewhat those "new age sports psych" type coaches who treat each player on their merit compared to Madge who has more of an overall strive for perfection, don't give an inch type of coach. Not saying one is better than the other but different players strive under different types. Guys like Douehi, Blore, LL, Noffa are usually over confident if anything but guys like Mikaele, Twal, Stefano, Brooks require a lot more TLC and re-assurance.

I really hope Madge hires an assistant who can work with the team on a more individualistic basis. Maybe a forwards, backs, halves coach approach might be better for us?

He has come back from origin camp more confident....

I must say that Madges coaching is what made him standout for origin selection in the first place....just my opinion...

Our support staff are rubbish. We actually for the 1st time in a long time have a core team to work with that could bring us success in a year or two. If they are going to stick with madge (which seems very likely), then snoopy and Ronnie Palmer need to go. We then need to hire a support staff around madge who have a great read of the game and our young team can relate to.

Maybe, but you can't just go out and hire a "good" coach. You need to have a plan as to what you need them to do. Every NRL club, successful or not has a big turnover of assistant coaches. They're unfortunately not the backbone of an organisation at all.

I'm actually holding Adam Hartigan responsible in the hiring of coaches, but Tim Sheens hopefully sees more the recruitment type role of coaches from U16s to FG.

Get to 10th?? This is our best roster in ages, we should be playing finals this year. How’s our defence coach going (ranked 13th in defence). Our attack is very clunky to say the least. We need a refresher with support staff.

Sometimes you just need someone from outside to reinforce what you are hearing from inside your bubble, and your team coach, to really believe in yourself.
Obviously Madge is bringing him along well, or he wouldn't be under their radar.
We are building some young talent the correct way... in the hope they build a strong bond and want to stay together for a long time.

We need to sign him up to a Payne Hass type, long term deal STAT. Add in extra incentives for making finals.

If TPJ with all his off field issues and inconsistent performances is getting $750k , imagine what stef will be offered. We need to lock this guy long term ASAP.
