Sticky Stuart to Coach Tigers in 2011!?!?

LOL like i said sheens inherited that star studded raiders team aswell, again double standards in your posts chris.

my prefered coach is folkes and has been since 08,, but you are critising stuart for the same reasons you praise sheens.

How is it double standard? Sheens won 3 premierships with the Raiders, more than what Stuart won. Scrapping the barrel there mate. I love it!

Ill walk from this club if he comes into coach

Coaches will come and go - I don't understand people that walk from clubs over employees that will be gone one day. I can understand people not putting their $$$ into the club whilst it is ran in a certain way by certain people but to walk from a club that is going thru a bad phase I can not understand.

yeah true… i take back my statement haha .... i can never walk from this club... no matter how bad it gets...

and thats my point its easy to be successful when you have a team full of rep players/all time greats isnt it? both have had success with star studded teams both have struggled when they havent had the players at their disposal, but the difference is chris, sheens for the last 4 years HAS had the players at his disposal and got SFA out of them, over half our team have played or still are rep players on some level

2 season we were cripple by injury. Last season however was an EXTREME disappointed and I agree Sheens should have got the side into the finals… comfortably.

I would go easy on claiming 4 years of failure... sure we haven't made the finals since '05... but IMO our only real chances were in 06 and 09...

Ron, How many of these Wests Tigers Players were occasional or established "Rep Players" before Tim arrived? How many players has Ricky Stuart turned into "Rep Players" in his coaching career?

Wests Tigers fans ability to rate our sides over and above the talent they actually have never ceases to amaze me.

Sheens and stuart are both s**t. No point arguing either way about it. Seriously sick of catfights especially in a case so unsubstantial such as this. There both terrible AT PRESENT, regardless of what they have achieved or the teams they've coached in THE PAST.

Sticky would not be my first choice, but I would take him in preference to another year of Sheens. I think the players need a change. It has nothing to do with Sheens being able to coach,we all know he can, but the magic is dead in tigertown and with Sticky or who ever, would bring change and a breath of fresh air. It could all go belly up to, but we just cant keep going through the motions every year.

I think Sheens should be removed if we don't make the finals this year but not if replaced with Stuart.

From my observations:

Stuart bleeds the life out of teams

Sheens while not always successful at the very least builds something.

Give me that any day.

ricky isnt a bad coach, he took the roosters to 3 straight grand finals, the sharks in 08 were equal first.

hes got a team full of **muppets** and has a few tigers hand me downs amongst his ranks, with our roster i think he could do the job, every coach has a lean period

like i said he took the roosters to 3 straight grand finals the sharks were equal first in 08 and one game away from the GF. **Hes not a bad coach he just has a crap roster to work with**

You are a hypocrite Ron, you defend Stuart because as you put it he has a team of muppets, yet you refuse to give Sheens the same latitude with the average teams he had at the Cowboys and here when he first arrived, Stuart has had 3 lean years because of his players but Sheens has had 12 years of failure despite some of the poor rosters he had to work with during some of those years…HYPOCRITE

you are as bad a BB, you use only what suits your agenda and disregard everything else…

even with his team of muppets stuart got them to one finals series hell they finished equal first, and you are missing the point right now and for the last 4 years sheens hasnt had a team of muppets hes had a team that should of played in the finals in atleast 3 of those years

That would be typical of our club to replace Sheens with someone even worse.

Actually that's a bit harsh on Sheens, the man can coach, however he has just gone stale with us and a change is needed to freshen up the place. However hiring Stuart would be taking ten steps backwards.

There are plenty of coaches that could do a good job…Brown, Kearney, Folkes, Potter amongst them.

We have had and if you listen to some still have….plenty of Muppets....

Since we're into Hypotherical's....What if the next bloke fails to get us to the finals......keep churning through them like most other clubs....

We are unique.....
