The purpose of the petition has been stated many times. It is not about supporting Andreacchio and Wayde.

They're all as culpable as each other for the performance of both Wests Magpies and subsequently WT. Wayde has been around since the 80s in various positions of influence for Wests Ashfield, Wests Magpies and Wests Tigers, which says something about the system Wests Magpies operates within generally.
When did I mention the purpose of the petition? I've already signed it.

I was talking about the lack of information around whatever happened with the 3 directors. It could be about keeping power for the other directors, but I doubt anyone here has both sides of the story.

To be fair to that process , all the information that was released by that has been by the 3 directors themselves , outside of the initial email from Julie Romero regarding thier being banned from entering the premises .
Which was vague in detail , but by the very nature of the email insinuating wrong doing / revealing some kind of behaviour in breach of the code of conduct .
To be fair the fact they are talking about it , could be the reason the suspensions are 6 years and 9 years respectively.
None of the above to say it wasn’t a kangaroo court though . As I’ve said before , Andreccchio presided over the worst period in wests tigers history, maybe even Balmain tigers and wests magpies history as well .
He’s hardly a reliable narrator .
IMO they all need to go , and a fresh board appointed , even with Nominated HBG delegates to the Wests tigers board .
This is most morally and ethically responsible solution , and at least portrays a semblance of transparency and accountability.
It won’t happen though . Because no one on that HBG board seems to have the class and dignity to see the forest through the trees it seems .
Romero and Burgess are 💯 looking after thier spot in the corporate box , and looking over thier shoulder in regard to the review and the changing of the wests tigers constitution .
Andrecchio appears to be a survivalist to me , and is using the obvious about Romero and co , to gloss over that he’s just as accountable for the ineptitude at HBG and wests tigers level as well . He was very smart to publicly back the review , as it’s automatically positioned him positively in the eyes of us fans .
Like I said they call go and get stuffed . I reckon there’s probably 10 club presidents in the WSJRL and BTJRL who would do a million times better than these people . Let alone people from external corporates and other fields

We just have to hope the playing structure of WT remains shielded from the board machinations- so far they have been. Yes, the crapshow gets media attention and is of concern but as long as the players themselves get no knock on effects Benji and Richardson should be able to separate the 2 things in discussions with players and managers. If the side then starts to get off the bottom of the table and shows progress, it must put pressure on the Board to get itself sorted,
Agree totally though only issue it does cause, it may stop potential players wanting to sign. We still need to go to market to finish rounding our squad out and the noise might make the Tigers look unstable.

Main thing is we get our 4 independent directors, once that's done we're autonomous and if the rats from both sides of that useless HBG boardroom want to eat each other, they can go crazy. They're all as useless as eachother. I just back the 3 kicked because they agreed we should have the independants.

Brian May is a musician with talent, Mark Knopfler is a musician with talent, could list more but not every musician has talent, as with any job/career there are some who have the talent to excel at what they do however most are adequate enough to get by and get their job done without being anything special.

Dennis Burgess is adequate at the job he did within the music industry to make a career from it but is nothing more.

I think you'll find for old Wests and Balmain supporters, there is a place in our hearts reserved specially for them, BUT, I think most of us are both anti-Balmain and anti-Wests for the simple reason that the merger factions have held us back for so long.

You are going after @cochise about being Anti-Wests, but to put it more succinctly, it's not so much about being anti-Wests. It's being anti-debenture and pro-Wests Tigers. If it was a Balmain affiliated member doing the same thing, we would all be saying things the opposite way.

It's not much interest which side the owners align with if the one in power has no accountability. That's all that's being asked for and frankly, it's only us that has this system, so it's not an Anti-Magpie thing. It's about getting with the times.

We formed a new club called Wests Tigers. It could have been called anything. It is not a toy to play out the fantasies and grievances of old Balmain and Wests fans let alone sitting board members with zero accountability to the members.

Yes I've read it and what you've missed in that story is the replacement of one dictator with another.

No one is advocating for dictatorial power over the club. Just a fair system where the members are represented instead of 18 people who paid $100 deciding the direction of the club. The issue HBG has is that it is a not for profit members club. As such, there needs to be representation for those members like all the other clubs in NSW. It's akin to Albanese appointing the next prime minister rather than having an election to determine the will.of the people.

Lee was no victim ! He was paying 1m for a sponsorship worth more , and milked it for every last dollar . His incompetence around contract negotiations , which people can call naivety, was enough to undermine his position .
Then there’s the revenue fudging , and membership numbers , and the fiscally irresponsible persuasion of getting the club to retain Nofa , it’s a long list of reasons he was put in front of the firing squad .

No doubt. They're all responsible. The governance and oversight of the entire board has been awful.

What I am getting at in general, is for years, Lee and Pascoe copped the ire of supporters as the public faces and voices of the board and executive. But if fans were informed at how the board was comprised, rather than simply relying on Lee's appearances on 360 and other sound bites, and articles in the media, it has always been apparent who were the big dogs on the WT board. Same as the Marina Go period. And this is what has frustrated me for years.

HBG & WM were effectively a block of 5 on an 8 to 9 person board. So they're negligent in allowing Lee to do whatever he did, because they had to support it based on the numbers.

Independent board members and chairpersons, CEO's, football managers, coaches and staff, players, etc have all been hired and fired. But the constant in the past decade has been HBG and the little rotation on the WT board of HBG reps, because there has been little rotation of board members at HBG. It's a fiefdom. Once you're in at HBG, it was hard to be kicked out unless you were struck down by illness or death. It's worse than the Aussie Cricket team. Well until now, because three of their clan decided that new ideas, new voices, and new blood was needed at the football club to allow it to thrive. The others see board representation as free access to the directors box and changerooms, power and prestige, something they don't want to give up.

I'm glad it's finally got to the stage the supporters are aware of it now. Unfortunately, it's taken 3 consecutive wooden spoons, and basically, a descent to joke status for the club for it to happen. Thanks to the relevant podcasts for their work in getting the word out!
