Taylor / Farah

The pomp pomp waiving JT brigade were claiming JT was the greatest thing since slice bread when he was getting rid of Robbie, all the sudden the same persons are heads down and are calling for JTs head. Despite all the obvious symptoms these are the same fans who chose to ignore these symptoms for the sake of spite and at the expense of the club, for these persons this was and only was about getting rid of Robbie and not the interest of the club.

I say to these persons, as much as I dislike JT, we should get behind him and the boys going forward based on:

1 - JT showed courage by saying sorry publicly, something I thought he wasn't capable of, I'm willing to forgive
2 - Both camps have shown compromise
3 - The club has been battered
4 - Both JT and Robbie are contracted hence they should fall on their own sword if one or both stuff up next season
5 - everything else will take its own natural course.
6 - And last but not least, for the sake of the club.

And if your still whinging and harping on, I suggest you go on the women's weekly forum and stop pretending your a Tigers supporter

Truly disgraceful and shameful some of you..

I'm the odd one out here for sure. I think this is the best thing that could happen.

No more media speculation, no more whinging and whining from anyone. You can't anymore because an apology has been issued. Who cares who did it. In actual fact, I think it shows a lot of character from the one delivering the apology. For me personally, that persons stocks would go up, not down in my book.

In any case, if there was a 'no comment' from Farah, this would have rolled on so it had to be confirmed.

Now, we should take their lead and BLOODY WELL MOVE ON!!!!

Take heed Mr Pascoe, beware the 'HONEST AYOUB PROPAGANDA MACHINE' manipulating you into a feit accompli by media in the year ahead.

The real problem is being hidden behind JT, Robbie and even Pascoe. Our so called Head of Football Operations was the acting CEO during the time this action commenced. He is and was fully aware of the financials of the club but allowed JT to make this move against Farah, whether right or wrong. Knowing the timing of the move and the age of the player involved, it still went ahead. Nor did he access the potential impact to the Wests Tigers brand, or if he did totally underestimated it. And now we all know there was never a plan B to simply pay out Farah's contract should the situation turn ugly. We will probably hear that the boards full resources were being used trying to resolve the Balmain debacle, fixing the salary cap, chasing sponsorship or interviewing for positions, when this went upside down.

JT is a dead man walking people are saying, but actually this may have saved him till the end of 2016\. The only thing Farah is running is his ego and any club with half decent management would keep that in check.
Our club is still a basket case, but we are moving into a corporate structure that will be ruthless in the coming years, learning from these experiences. Our priority is bringing in people who can do the job the first time and in a professional manner. The reality we wont get it right 100% of the time.
The days of players and coaches dictating club running's is coming to an abrupt end.

Taylor clearly has zero authority. What's the point of him being here?

I assume that he is the coach unless I have the wrong impression.

I just watched the press conference with Woods and yep JT was there as the head coach. Robbie wasn't there.

Who are these persons that you refer to as being Taylor fans as I can't recall any on here?

As for the rest of it "pretending …...... disgraceful ...... ", etcetera, well, pfft.

Or the NRL i think he said - and here i was think he was an egomaniac - silly me.

I stick up for him with regards to the stuff that gets stated on this board but this is pretty funny. Benji to me always came across as more likeable and I think a better player.

I don't believe he actually said it - it was reported how he may go to Super League in 2017 and come back to WT in some management role - I'm thinking it must have been the reporter suggesting with his economics degree he could one day be CEO although it did read like Farah said it. I've tried to find the article but it looks like it has been pulled.

Was from a poster on this forum…to my knowledge it has not been reported in the Media...

He has made no secret that with his economics degree he believes he could handle CEO role down the track either at the Tigers or NRL.

Ahh yes thats right - thanks Geo - for some reason i thought i had read it in one of the daily rags - probably will in a couple of days when they catch up with their reading of the forum.

So apparently Robbie believes privately that with his economics degree that he can one day be CEO of the club.

Where has he said this Privately that he will be a future CEO ?

Robbie already runs the club FT

When a coach is forced to apologize in front of the players to another player you know who is in charge

last time i checked in - i was pretty sure the NEW CEO was now running the club…......
\

some of you will never be happy.
thats all this comes down to.
your just miserable.

rather than say - ok lets move on, you're still pointing the bent finger and waiving your tails like you actually know the ins and outs.
hate every journo out their. every news report is fake ....
BUT - when the news report helps you justify your own arguments....its all true... we know whos running the club hes this hes that....
what a load of bollocks !

I never read anywhere that Taylor was "forced" to do anything, but I suppose that will be the excepted version from now on.
Maybe Taylor actually believes that there was a reason to apologise, if not for wanting him gone, but for thr way it was attempted, and to do it before the players .

As for someone saying earlier , that Farah was somehow supposed to wrong in letting him apologise.
Do we really think that Taylor went to Farah beforehand, and told him that he was going to apologise to him at a certain day and time.
Yeah, Right.
I just would love to know where all this so called info comes from, seeing that most of us( if not all of us) weren't there
It's all maybe's, and only the two people involved know if an apology was warranted .
I have no problem with a Coach apologies to someone in a team if he genuinely believes he was wrong about something.
If it's a con job, well it won't be long before the team sees through it.

“Yes he has,” Farah told The Australian. But that’s something that will remain between myself and the coach. In what form that apology came I won’t be commenting.”

Wait What…I'm pretty sure that's commenting...

All he did was confirm to the Australian that it did take place , he didn't go into details…..cut the guy some slack .
JT is the Dopey one here....apologizing in front of the players shows how weak he is and not having the confidence in going through with what he believes is in the best interest of the Club , play him in Reserve Grade you Dopey .

I got a phone call 2 Days ago from the Wests Tigers Membership Department and won't go into what was said , but lets just say DESPERATION was an understatement , our Memberships are an all time low.

Moral must be low i'm sensing...a division between the players and the Coach , for JT to have to apologize . You should never apologize for something you believe is the way forward :brick: .

Lets just hope this is the apology that heals everyone and we can truly Unite and have a Prosperous 2016 Season when all hope seems gone .

So you honestly think it was JTs idea to apologise to Farah in front of the players. Yea right. JT is well and truly under the thumb at present - pulled from all media involvement, the board going very quiet on how much they backed him, the perception by all and sundry that he is being hung out to dry - i hope he has got the balls to play him in reserve grade if he dishes up the rubbish football he has for the last 2 years - but i'm guessing if that happens it will be bye bye JT.

What's your source of this insider information….....no doubt a reputable source?????

All I have to say on the matter is the Weststigers are a club in CRISIS all the back slapping and smiles are fake as …just a disgrace !

Was it an apology a) to Farah for trying to move him on, or b) an apology for the way it was handled and played out?

If it was a) then Taylor should retrieve his balls from his wife's purse and start filling out his unemployment benefits application form.

If it was b), then that is somewhat (sorta, kinda) understandable, as the whole scenario made the club and everyone associated with it look like crap.

Either way, time for everyone to move on and look towards 2016.

well summarised. what a joke. tell a player to move on and he wants the coach to apologise?

just so bloody pathetic.

I'm not quite sure why some people are still so reactionary towards this. They tried to move Farah on, nobody took him, he stays with us and the club apologises for the stink.

It's like trying to sell your house in a low market, it's nothing against the house, you are just moving on. But if nobody buys, then it stays your house.

This should be easily put behind us all and move on, I'd rather talk now about training, upcoming trials, 9s etc.

it is pathetic and even more embarrassing is that ALL of us here have jumped on and got caught up in something that we probably actually know about 5% of.
the rest is speculation, hearsay, innuendo and assumptions based on if we do or do not believe anything we have read or hear annnnnnnd are trying to defend or justify with each other here …...
i mean its insanity at its best.
lock this thread up like the last one.

it might be the only way to force us fans to stop turning on the club and each other.

I just hope this claimed unity isn't just spin. If everyone can pull together, there's no reason we can't have a good year. For the first time in a long while we have depth in most key positions and as we get a little more cashed up we can maybe go after a few marquee signings in another year or so

Did everyone notice that Robbie wasn't at the press conference, Obviously JT is running the club with an iron fist at the moment.

Robbie appears to be completely sidelined. Its unbelievable.

I agree. This is going the way of the RF thread. Fans fighting with one another and bringing the club down at every opportunity.

Time to close this one down as well.

Everything seems sorted so let's move on and look at the positives.

I don't think deep down he would of meant his apology to be sincere anyway , if he apologized cause it was forced on him? Well his a sheep, cause any Coach with credibility would never apologize for something that he believes is in the best interest of the Club moving forward.
The Board have tried to give him free reign but have realised his inept, seriously who puts a media ban on there Coach? A total lack of confidence being shown and to top it off Farah is in the Leadership group :roll.

Diedpretty he won't have the balls to put him in Reserve Grade after putting him in the Leadership group
