Taylor / Farah

I see the footage of Farah and Taylor. Woods and Farah. Woods and Taylor and they look jovial as hell.

On the outside it sounds like a horror show but at the end of the day I'm choosing to believe that Farah understood where Taylor was coming from, Taylor came around on it and that it's all good. My choice. You can make it too.

I know if I was Farah I would have been like, well I get it but I don't want to go man and I will put in for you. If I was Taylor I could be talked around. Maybe I'm reasonable … but it seems the outcome indicates maybe they both are as well.

All I have to say on the matter is the Weststigers are a club in CRISIS all the back slapping and smiles are fake as …just a disgrace !

Let's wait and see, the 'proof will be in the pudding'. If nothing else this saga has brought home to Robbie that he was on the outer with a lot of people and clubs and just perhaps he will now embrace the 'olive branch' from Taylor and bring glory to the club and we will ALL be winners!! Everything I have read of late seems to indicate Robbie is 'busting his gut' at training, and all is sweet with the guys, so why not let us see what he can achieve and no doubt the coach is wanting to facilitate that, which to my mind, is the sensible thing to do under all the circumstances.

Diedpretty, I speak to ex-footballers up here and everybody has the greatest respect for his game (with reservations re non field issues). If his game dampened down due to JT and injuries don't blame him for that.

I don't think deep down he would of meant his apology to be sincere anyway , if he apologized cause it was forced on him? Well his a sheep, cause any Coach with credibility would never apologize for something that he believes is in the best interest of the Club moving forward.
The Board have tried to give him free reign but have realised his inept, seriously who puts a media ban on there Coach? A total lack of confidence being shown and to top it off Farah is in the Leadership group :roll.

Diedpretty he won't have the balls to put him in Reserve Grade after putting him in the Leadership group

Media ban…?? 😕 😕 😕

Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe and Head Coach Jason Taylor spoke to the media on Friday as the Club unveiled new captain Aaron Woods for season 2016... 😱pen_mouth:

I don't believe in all this Taylor hung out to dry stuff….

If he and the club have apologised its because they knew he was in the wrong in some regard.

Make it work and stop looking for excuses. Robbie is still an Origin hooker who bleeds for the club.

Im glad Robbie will be wearing the 9 I reckon we need some quality experience around our improving youngsters.

Now time to get to work and win games together.

 only cause he apologized and it's easier to say to the media that all is sorted now.

When was the last time he spoke to the media ?

You know the Club didn't want him talking after the pre-season interview he did with the media on the 2nd Day of pre-season. He wished the ground would swallow him up he was appalling and didn't handle the media.

When was the last time Wayne Bennett spoke to the Media...Is he on a ban...?

An interesting and reasonable scenario/'dialogue' Mac.
Perhaps this is the wake up call Farah has needed for years, and WT will benefit going forward.

The problem is the club has handed the power back to Farah , the same person who has run the club for how many years now

If people really knew what he gets up to behind the scenes ….......

Well go on, illuminate us.

Week 2 interview trying to justify himself of this signing and nothing to do with Farah, Week 4 spin….team looking great, great energy :blah :blah usual spin. Hope he mentioned results don't matter.

Bennett is clear spoken and knows how to handle the media as much as his abrupt at times, nothing fazes him and his short answers give the media nothing.

Was it an apology a) to Farah for trying to move him on, or b) an apology for the way it was handled and played out?

If it was a) then Taylor should retrieve his balls from his wife's purse and start filling out his unemployment benefits application form.

If it was b), then that is somewhat (sorta, kinda) understandable, as the whole scenario made the club and everyone associated with it look like crap.

Either way, time for everyone to move on and look towards 2016.

well summarised. what a joke. tell a player to move on and he wants the coach to apologise?

just so bloody pathetic.

Where did the story that "JT apologised to Farah,". change to "Farah wanted the Coach to apologise"
Hasn't taken long for the story to be rewritten to suit the anti Farah brigade.
Seems like the kiddies are really throwing a tantrum because this hasn't ended the way that they wanted.
Well this looks like the way that the season is going to at least start, so can we have a bit less Farah bashing at least up until the season starts. .

A ban implies to me that he is not to talk to the Media at all that simply isn't true or is it a selective ban…you can't have it both ways,,,

Seems the spin must be catching,,

If results don’t come the Tigers’ way in the first half of the 2016 season, Pascoe said Taylor’s contract, which runs until the end of 2017, was not in jeopardy.
>
“Jason Taylor is 100 per cent the coach for the 2016 season. **No one coach can be judged on wins and losses alone** and **we’re not going to be judging him on that,”** he said.

I'm sorry , but this post just has to go…...Too much sense and not enough foot stamping.
It just won't do !!!!!
The idea of common sense impinging on this subject, can simply not be allowed.

The pomp pomp waiving JT brigade were claiming JT was the greatest thing since slice bread when he was getting rid of Robbie, all the sudden the same persons are heads down and are calling for JTs head. Despite all the obvious symptoms these are the same fans who chose to ignore these symptoms for the sake of spite and at the expense of the club, for these persons this was and only was about getting rid of Robbie and not the interest of the club.

I say to these persons, as much as I dislike JT, we should get behind him and the boys going forward based on:

1 - JT showed courage by saying sorry publicly, something I thought he wasn't capable of, I'm willing to forgive
2 - Both camps have shown compromise
3 - The club has been battered
4 - Both JT and Robbie are contracted hence they should fall on their own sword if one or both stuff up next season
5 - everything else will take its own natural course.
6 - And last but not least, for the sake of the club.

And if your still whinging and harping on, I suggest you go on the women's weekly forum and stop pretending your a Tigers supporter

Truly disgraceful and shameful some of you..

Who are these persons that you refer to as being Taylor fans as I can't recall any on here?

As for the rest of it "pretending …...... disgraceful ...... ", etcetera, well, pfft.

I saw one last week…..wait...sorry, that was Elvis.

You know that is all :blah :blah , just like the Club was going in a different direction without Farah  please.
Also his in the Leadership group already before his supposed meeting on the 22nd of December on his appraisal of training and how his conducting himself? :roll

If results don't go his way next year he will not see 2017 .

It's not easy hearing a SORRY coming out of Jason Taylors mouth. It's called a Man in desperation mode in saving his Career, a Coach that never was.
Like I have always said it's only a matter of time for him and thoughts haven't changed.
Tried to take the focus of his Coaching for the year and tried to turn the attention on Farah….that he was the absolute problem in all this.

Well for starters Farah is currently harassing a player who is looking at changing player managers

But Farah is a club legend so I guess that is his prerogative , hey
