Cerruto, who's played what 2 games in the centres as a temporary fill in? Who isn't even first choice fullback (his regular position). But he may well be shortly

Satterthwaite will need to put on a lot of weight to make it as a first grade winger.

Seve and Heleta are miles ahead of all our other centres. And Tohi and Kharwin are our best wingers. The rest are just backups for now. But you need good backups as injuries and suspensions happen.

But this isn't a NYC squad thread, so back to TMM…

Cerruto is better than Alofi, mark my word he is a weapon.

He looks an NRL player for sure, could have the skill set to place elsewhere, has a very strong running game, could become a Jamie Lyon style creative centre.

May move on to another club.

Obviously he's a 5/8\. However if we want to hold onto him, his best chance in NRL is at centre, assuming everybody in 1st is fit. I know he is to small and inexperience now, but shouldn't the coaching staff give him some game time this year at centre in the 20's? Defending in the centres requires experience.

wasn't Seve the Peter Sterling medal winner in 2013?

Yeah he was. Best schoolboy, rated ahead of Liolevave, TMM, Matu'aita etc. Injury and suspension have meant he's only played about 7-8 NYC matches so far though.

TMM is quite tall for a 5/8 so he will hopefully fill out nicely as he gets older. Can see his playing weight being in the low 90kgs in a couple of years. He could possibly put on an extra couple of kgs and play centre. His greatest strength is his running, though he certainly can pass and put up a few good kicks here and there too.

Also have to remember that TMM has played most of his career at Keebra and NYC directly alongside Liolevave and they built up a great combo. Different players this year and he's good, but not quite as great. Developing his understanding with outside men he hasn't played with much is where he's at now.

With Liolevave signing on for another couple of years, and all his school mates still here, I reckon there's a decent chance of us signing him to a one year NRL deal as he plays it by ear from there.

Seve was the best player in at the Aus schools tourny that year. At the time I thought it was a weak age, but a few players have kicked on into decent players, notably Sione. Dallin got knocked on in the first game and was probably the most hyped played in the age group.

Seve could easily kick on to be a first grader.

Balmain Boy, I agree with your comments about TMM size, he has a reasonable frame, could put on some muscle and play at about the rigth weight. Still his best is clearly five eight. But lets face it, most young guns play either fullback or in the halves.

Quote for truth.

Also, Te Maire will be a super star.

Just hypothetically, if Moses doesn't improve all season I wonder if they'd have to have a look at the other in-house option.

Nothing against Moses but i cant wait to see Drinkwater in FG (for at least a game anyway)
Could spark things like Austin did at one stage.

Injuries ( touch wood ) do happen. I'am sure you'll get your wish at some stage soon LtWT.

My call from now Tedesco will be the best fullback in the world in a few years. Would not move him. Just move Martin on if he gets a better opportunity. Let's not forget players like Billy Kitt, Jacob Miller, Matt Mulcahy etc. Who just never eventuated.

Moses and Brooks have shown that they can handle first grade by single handedly dominating a team, Moses the Bulldogs and Brooks had a few outstanding games..Dragons, Titans and Rabbits to name a few.

Persist with our current halves and I guarantee it will pay off, these guys are working quite hard to get their combinations right, the structure they are limited to now in attack is helping their development, as this loosens up they will begin to shine.

Im happy to persist with the current halves just offering up an alternative team that fits everyone in.

But in saying that Moses would make a very good fullback given the chance. He would be better than Moylan and somewhere around Slater or Lockyers class.

Tedesco would be equally as destructive at centre with his ability to break tackles and his good hands.

The only reason i would be for this is to see more of Brooks and Moses combining, we haven't seen them come together all season. Still wouldn't move Teddy tho.

Billy Kitt is in the Melbourne Storm system playing at 6 for the Sunshne Coast Falcons in the QRL Intrust Super Cup competition, spent last season playing in the Storms NYC side.

Still only 21 so still some hope for the kid yet if he’s good enough.

I'd love to see Teddy tried at Centre, Moses back to Fullback and Drinkwater given a run.
Moses best game for us was at fullback… Teddy is a match winner no matter where you put him.
I also think teddy is the best FB in the game and wouldn't swap him for 2 Billy Slaters, But the "best" player in game also played a long time at centre - Didn't hurt him.
I feel that is the best for the team at the moment. Moses isn't ready to control the team, And FB would be the best spot for him to inject himself as he sees fit.
Teddy played a WC at centre and killed it - Something our Right centre isn't doing...
Drinkwater is a stable option in the halves...

On TMM - I'd prefer we kept him long term over Moses in the 6 Jumper.
He's a superstar....
