Teddy plans to end career at WT

It is highly likely the Roosters are assuring Tedesco of many various "extras" outside of his contract money

It's been mentioned on here that part of his deal includes never having to pay for clothes or another meal. He sold his soul.

If you believe those type of numbers and stories… All I know is:

1) Teddy & Woods were a PRIORITY
2) They have not been secured
3) Someone has failed

The rest is just fluff piece rubbish you WANT to believe!

OK, so people who are content with the fact that the club didn't let itself get bent over and rogered by Ted and his manager are just WANTING to believe monetary amounts thrown about, or get sucked in by "fluff pieces"?
Eagerly awaiting his true contract offer and other facts that you are presumably armed with. Fire away.
If DCE is on 1 mill or more per year it is very realistic to think the NSW Origin fullback would be worth as much.

Mate, I'd be surprised if anyone on here knows what the club or roosters offered. But, I'd be confident enough to suggest the WT more than likely offered more than the Roosters as his value was greater to us than it is to them.

All I know is the club failed in retaining a PRIORITY, but everyone is blaming James. Why does the club get a free pass on poor player retention, something which appears to be embedded into its history?

Better ring the club and tell them to offer 50% of the cap to the next big thing then Watto. He can jog on, it will be hilarious if we go on to be more successful than Easts in the time that he is there and he looks to parachute his way back in.

Lets not keep :deadhorse:

The Club had an aim of resigning the big four with Teddy probably at Nr1\. We offered HUGE salaries to Woods and Tedesco, 950k and 1.2 mil respectively. They said no.

It wasn't money.

Both Woods and Tedesco made career choices. They simply looked at us and look at other teams and went, we don't have it together. Yes after firing Taylor and hearing the usual "were Rebuilding" story, they went "right were elsewhere". Honestly, fair enough. I don't like their choice but as other players have put it they need to "develop" at the club they are at. If your career depended on the West tigers coaching structure and stability… You would probably go elsewhere too.

Woods would almost reneg now, Tedesco says he would like to come back (but probably won't). That is a great sign. I don't expect Ivan to work miracles, but he has added a chunk of stability and pride to the WT. I get where Woodsy and Teddy are coming from, they need stability. I get where the Club was coming from, they could not miss out on Packer or Matulino waiting for these guys to make up their minds and leave.

Don't be angry at the swamp we were in. I don't blame people for getting out, let them get out and move on. Lets get a good side back, remember those that were loyal and keep them close.

This rebuild is a long time coming. I don't think it's a 2017 or 2016 thing, I think it's a 2006 or earlier thing. I think we need to do the hard yards as a team and get a hard team together. Instead we seem to rely on great talent like Marshall or Teddy or whomever and that gets us to 9th. If we are truly going to succeed then lets get a really strong gritty team together, forget 2018 but focus on the core and basics.

I'd take Tedesco back in a heartbeat.

This bloke at his best is argubaly the best player in the NRL.

He can single-handely change the momentum of games like he did on the weekend.

I really hope he comes back!

I like to eat fresh food and produce, not when its past is "Used By" Date

I dont want left overs anymore.

Who he was past the "Used By" date?

Teddy is 24, by the time he finishes his 4 years at the rorters he will be 28

28 is when players reach their peak - not the used by date

And left overs isn't the best fullback in the NRL

Tedesco will do a Freddie Fittler - go to the Roosters and take the golden egg each year. He'll never come back.

Heres the shill again. Ted IS NOT the best fullback in the NRL. Slater has played him 3 times this year and given him a bath on each occasion. Boyd has him covered as well.

I thought Fred was a dog when he left the Panthers for the Rorters and he got his comeupance when that very club beat him in the 2003 GF. Lets hope Turdesco suffers a simlar fate.

Didn't he sign with the ARL and then the Panthers went to supetleague?

Yeah for a mill/season back in the mid nineties.

For a long time we've had to put up with not left overs, but a lot of rotten food.
I'd welcome him back at any time. And I bet the Coach would too.
He's only going to get better.

Tedesco on sterlo tonight I can't wait to get to the roosters next year

Did anyone else see him hanging with his roosters buddies last night at the rlpa meeting not the tigers boys

Can't wait for him to piss off. Scumbag

Tedesco just mentioned on Sterlo he was moving out of the house with Brooks and Moses and was heading east. That would be to the undisclosed house he's been given I'm sure!

Lol if you believe thats how it went down then i have some magic beans to sell you.

Come on folks - let's not let our disenchantment with Teddy allow us to distort the facts. He never said he wanted to finish his career at the Tigers at all!

Sure, I hate it that he decided to walk on the Tiges but give the guy credit for putting in and for being arguably our most lethal player. Ivan said it himself - we are never going to replace him, but he's going so let's move on, and the positive is that his departure allows us to create a new team perhaps with a different style and mix.

Moses, Woods and Teddy going have allowed Ivan to build a more balanced side. Instead of having three salary cap anchors that won't guarantee a finals appearance we may be in with a shot with a team next year where there are competition for spots and no ridiculously overpaid players.

Didn't do himself any favours last night by appearing on Sterlo's Fox footy show in a Nike polo shirt.

Yep…...."Air Teddy".
Also said "I can't wait" to join the Roosters a few too many times for my liking, can't recall too many other players disrespecting their current club (who have always done their utmost to look after him) like that. Pretty poor from Ted, he seems pretty uneducated in the facet of respect and thankfullness IMO.
