If we do lose teddy we should attempt to sign karmichael hunt or another capable fullback. I don't think Rowe can be a permanent option.

If we can't afford to Sign Teddy how can we possibly afford Karmichael Hunt?

I think it is more the club doesn't want to pay overs for Teddy…

Yeah I agree Milky , what your paying the overs for is the potential his got that's it ,cause he hasn't demonstrated to be an injury free type of player , not through his choice though (being injured ).

So why isn;t this thread in the other Tedesco contract thread?
That one only needs another 80 pages and it catches up to the Lote contract thread!
You can do it!!

Exactly, I wouldn't be willing to spend a cent more than 500k for teddy. Hes played awesome for the opening rounds of this season but he hasn't really established himself as a player that's worth 500k.

Hunt surely couldn't be asking for much more than that price anyway

Special K is having some serious injury issues himself

He hasn't played at all this season for the Suns

How his ankle is going to cope with an extra 15 kg been carried around would be a question seeing he is already struggling

If we lose Tedesco he will prove to be our biggest loss ever and we will regret it for many years to come

A bit similar to when John Raper accepted an offer at age 20 to transfer to St. George from Newtown.

Maybe it's not about the money, Teddy's going to make good money wherever he goes. Maybe he wants to play with a good team where he can play finals footy every september and maybe win a premiership once in his career. I think if we can finish in the 8 this year it will make us seem a more attractive place for young James to continue his career,

I don't think he is going to wait until around semi -finals time to decide what he/or his manager wants to do.

That's a stretch

Raper vs Tedesco. No offence but it is massive stretch. I hope we keep him though.

I was making a comparison based on the potential shown in the first year of their first grade careers. Raper joined and made his first grade debut for Newtown in 1957 as an eighteen-year-old. The following year he joined the reigning premiers St George. Potential is just that - potential. Players with potential need to work hard to fulfil that potential.

Tigers and in particular Grant Mayer are seemingly promoting the hell out of the Tigers v Broncos game, '15th anniversary game', trying to draw on the Campbelltown crowd, lots of ticket promotions, etc.
I wouldn't be surprised to see us announce Tedesco has re-signed in the lead up.

If you were trying to time the announcement for PR reasons, you'd do it when he was actually playing.

"And we've just re-signed (drum roll)… that guy on crutches over there"

(Soft patter of applause)
