THE 4......THREAD

Also, round 12 could be too early if we're hovering around the edge of the 8\. It shouldn't, but i think who these guys want to play under will have a bearing on what these guys do. I think the club will listen to what they want.

I know a lot of WT's supporters were full of confidence about beating Penrith , but the bookies still had Penrith as favourites

Could be win-win potentially (although that's rare for the Tigers). If the two halves continue to play inconsistently/poorly (especially Brooks) then their price should come down. On the other hand if they really step up and we start winning that will bring more stability and positivity to the club, you'd think, making it more likely that they all re-sign anyway. And I read Woods' comments as being neutral, wanting some stability in the club before he commits.

A flogging this week may hasten their decision on the coach.

When I look at our draw and I look at our roster the big four should know who's coaching or who's not coaching in about 8 weeks, by than our finals chances will be nil. Sorry for the gloom but I said at the start of the year this group is bottom 3 at best and this not based on one bad game against Penrith its based on the lack of quality backrowers and lack of quality outside backs not to mention a 6 and 7 who form wise are down more than their up

Im happy to pay overs for Woods and Tedesco. They have a trait we haven't had in years which is consistency. Re-signing them two is so so important. Id even say Nofa is now our 3rd most important signing. As for our halves, if someone is willing to pay $1million or whatever they think they are worth then you know what see you later. We would then have plenty of money to spend on bulking our forward pack (evans and McQueen) get a decent speedy centre and winger. If we need to pay $1million dollars each to keep our halves then we wont have money left to build our squad and we will just stay in this position for a long long time.

OK, you let both halves go - who will we have in these two positions?
Be realistic here - what haves that are available are better than ours?

You missed this T4L

Ive already told you im married and not interested. Stop folowing me around like a bad smell.

So you cant or wont answer a simple question, instead reply with you very repetitive homophobic insult….are you a bit insecure about your sexuality?
You keep inferring im chatting you up, that im interested in you...you sound quite insecure.
Does your wife know how childish and immature you behave on here?
It really is primary school level stuff you know.

Halves....once more....who would you replace Broses with?

The huge losses are a worry. Its not as if they have been losing by single figures. There is a real problem with how they are being coached and the players selected. One name brought up today about a possible potential replacement was Todd Payten. I think he coached some of the Tigers current players to a National Youth premiership in 2012 (playing ironically Canberra in the grand final). Maybe give Taylor a few more matches but if we keep getting belted, a low cost coach who has had success with a few of the players maybe an option ?

I have to listen to Todd Payten every Thursday when the Cowboys do their Round Up program on MMM

Apart from bagging out Campbelltown he never says much that is interesting

Doesn't impress me as a possible head coach

Careful you will get howled down saying JT should go, I agree and at the moment almost any coach would be an upgrade.

Exactly why we should be very careful with how much we spend to lock up our halves. If we dont add some key forwards and 2 key backs then we will end up where we started. If bolstering our squad means we have to sacrifice one of our halves then so be it.

Looks like the WT's will be the back page story again

Mascord is writing an article in where the club needs to be forced into making a choice between Taylor or a new coach and where Pascoe has to approach the Big 4 and find out who THEY want to coach them into the future

So if this is truly what has to happen what if Brooks and Woods say keep Taylor and Tedesco and Moses say no to Taylor ??

Management were going to extend Taylor for 2 years before Christmas last year & it Suddenly got kiboshed.
Now the big 4 won't sign until they know who the coach will be.
Surely Pascoe would sign Taylor ASAP if that's what the big 4 wanted, He is within WT meagre budget.

Its starting to look like that isn't it. Well if that's the case then i hope management move quickly.

That's the big question…but I wouldnt be too concerned seeing we all seem to know before all those concerned do

Relax... Keep calm

Don't be surprised if you see Ivan Cleary here next year as head Coach.

Wow it certainly hits the fan after 1 loss.

1 debacle is closer to it.Did you see anything in our preseason or 9s to get excited about because i didnt? The season is young and there is time to improve but another result like last week and the knives will be out in force.
I will be quite honest i feel Taylor is a poor to bad coach but if he has a good season he should be retained but he needs to start getting good performances even if he cant get wins.We have let in 10 tries in our opening 2 weeks that is awful.Things need to improve.

Yep…. 5 per game is unacceptable... We need to get it to two pg.... Not happening in a hurry by the looks of things
