The Al Packer made 31 metres

In all honesty, we were still in the game despite our forwards not making too much of an inroad

Its our errors that lost us the game, mainly by the outside backs today - real unfortunate

Titans knew he (Packer) was a fraud, they really targeted Twal in defence I thought, as they probably realised gang tackling him would essentially kill our go forward. They were right.

Is it safe to say… That everyone knows he's a fraud now?
Us as fans have been saying it for weeks now the other clubs know what's up?
All the tough talk and bravado but can't even have a dig.
Maybe old mate from the forum that wanted to challenge him to a fight would legitimately towel him up?

Big Bald headed cat.

What about the other props in the team? They all made no metres.

Doesn’t help when we go side to side then drop the ball every set.

Uh huh… All of em are duds.
Except twal....

Has been said many times tonight.
They're all cowards.

Except twal... And Lawrence.

How many of the titans forwards would be on more money than our pack? Proctor? James? How many of their forwards would you take over ours?

This is a more accurate assessment than some of the more emotional posts.

We made some simple errors at critical times which put us under severe duress. A dropped bomb and a couple of dropped passes which ended up in a tries. Those errors contributed to the 40/60% possession and a completion rate of 61%. You can't win games completing 61% of 40%. At the start of the year we were completing over 80%.

For those hammering the forwards, you need to take into account these figures to see they had little opportunity to carry the ball. When they did, they were gassed from their defensive efforts. We made 422 tackles to their 251 - ironically our tackling efficiency was 90%.

We made plenty of opportunities in attack today - we fell at the final hurdle. A few little errors cost us the game - not a huge deficiency in our lineup.

Runs far to many decoys needs to get his hands on the ball. Thought he was unlucky early in the game as it looked like a strip.

Our handling and discipline was the biggest issue, 18 errors????? 9 from our wingers alone..

When we give 60% possession to the other team we have no chance. Very little patience with the ball. Defending for 10 minutes straight and we try to offload 20m out?? Very dumb.

In case anyone was wondering….
Jarrod Wallace and Ryan James were also outstanding for Gold Coast, each running for more than 170 metres.

Maroons rookie Jai Arrow almost cracked 200 metres and was also outstanding.

Thought it was a strip as well. But those plays with us will be called lose carry every time….

60% posession to the Titans. Best forward metres gained Ryan and Wallace both over 170 metres and Arrow 194 compared to our two best Farah at 105 and Cheekam 99m. Add to that a lopsided tackle count - they dominated and we ran out of gas.

Pushing passes that werent on, not creating sustained pressure on the opposition defense was our story today but bloody hell thats still an embarrasment for Packer 30m when all front rowers aim to crack 100

We need to let Steve Roach lose in training and half times talks

Blocker will sort these bunch of pussies out

Incorrect.
He's a big girl.

You obviously don’t know him or have ever been in his company.

? Yeah with his Bert and Ernie voice.
Rly would get em motivated to do some damage out there.

Dude is a suit. In the media… He doesn't care about the tigers anymore. Better off having Joel Caine remind us where favourites but we'll probably get smashed by the eels or some other dud team cos we're not even chokers we're gate keepers here to play all the other teams into form and give away easy two points each week.

Hey, if it gets him out of the commentary box, I’m all for it. Sure we’d miss pearls of wisdom such as him saying on full time that there’s no way our club could be happy where we are sitting. Also wouldn’t get to hear the time warp he’s stuck in, cracking the same funny jokes from 1998,

Just rewatched game those thinking forwards cost us the game are wrong. It was the halves and wingers with errors or pushing passes on the 3rd or 2nd tackle
\
\
Forwards let a couple of soft tries. But mist of the tries were kicks or pick up on errrors.
\
\
Diffently wing and halves.

Reynolds has had average second halves. We really missing injurey free benj

Spot on it was handling errors and ill discipline which cost us the game.

Packer has been useless for us though definitely not worth his price tag.

Another dismal effort from him, zero punch when he did run it, not nearly involved enough and a bit sloppy in defence also. If his knee still isn't right keep him out until it is. May as well put his jersey on a housebrick and sit it out there… It'll make as many metres and at least an opposition player is a chance of tripping over it.

What a major disappointment our front row are. First year of a four year contract on big dollars.
Hate bagging players but Cleary has got a major headache on his hands if these two are our best for the next three years.

He shouldn't be let anywhere near the team.

He is a joke, but nobody is laughing.

Why don't you challenge him Demps - seeing he's a cat.

They'd be scraping you off the floor keyboard warrior.

We made a huge mistake not getting woodsie back….he wanted to come back now were stuck with these two NZ bludgers

Finally - "The Voice of Reason" - good post and a real summation of the game. There is far too much emotion after a game, singling out individuals, name calling and unreasonable demands.

Well said V of R.
