As @geo has mentioned Billy Walters will be our special guest on the day. I will actually be interviewing him so if anyone has any questions they would like to have asked put them in this thread and I will add some forum questions to the interview.

Anyone who is interested in meeting some people who share your passion for this club, please come along and join us for our first event.

I hope you guys get a good turnout, its a hell of a lot more appealing than going to the game.

Really just trying to increase the community connection and feel of the club. I know for me gameday is more than a game because of the people I have met and chat to at games. That really is an important part of my connection to the club, for example @Harvey came up and introduced himself to me yesterday. That helps build my attachment to the club and helps on days like yesterday.

Another example is my family bailed on me yesterday because of the weather and the fact I have others I know I attended the game with @Tiger_Steve and his brother. I like that sense of community that the common passion can create.

This idea really is about trying to give an opportunity for people to build that connection and attachment with others as well as the club.

Its an idea, it may work, it may not but I am willing to get in and give it a go.

It’s also with the clubs blessing and backing. Sometimes ‘The Ambush’ group will host events, sometimes the club will. We are hoping to give fans and members a better game day experience- at the game or not.
Of course, winning will help?

As will the half price beer....

If you are shouting beers with a mate, make sure you offer to buy the beers in the 1st half and let him get the ones in the second half.

Is there any way this interview etc can be uploaded here on the forum for those who cannot be at the function?

We will be filming parts of the event and taking pictures, so I will see if there is a way we can post the video to share.
