The biggest positive about losing Tedesco and Woods

For mine a massive upside to losing these 2 is that we will not be losing them for 3 matches each when Origin comes around in 2018 and beyond. It is a big burden having to lose your Origin players as we all know, not only can't they play for their clubs for possibly 3 matches but there is the extra wear and tear on them mentally and physically and chances are they will be below their best for the games on the weekend after the Wednesday night Origin game.
Would honestly be looking into having more players in our club that are born overseas so therefore ineligible for Origin selection. Matulino for Woods is a decent swap for this reason. Lolohea for Tedesco is a possibility as well.
Going forward, would be happy for WT to look into more overseas-born talent. But as we have all seen, it hasn't helped the NZ Warriors much either so maybe it's not such an advantage? :unamused:

Players have notoriously underperformed at the Mt. Smart for whatever reason.

He may go well here. Should be looking into some decent Pommy talent while we're at it. It'd be nice if we could get a Morley clone over here.

Sorry but to be honest there isn't much positive about losing tedesco imo

Well the positive re Tedesco is that we won't have to worry about him surviving a head knock. He, like Dugan put their lives on the line each time they run into traffic and they have both been smashed recently. The chances of Tedesco playing a full 4 seasons without a serious injury are slim. Dicky knees, a busted jaw and the big red and white target that opposition coaches have painted on his melon are all signs that he won't be a long term prospect.

The positive is you dont have $1.2million of your salary cap on 1 player. The positive is that you could get 3-4 good players for that money. As we have seen, having big chunks of our salary cap taken by 3 players has achieved nothing for us. Of course he is a loss as is woods. But if our recruitment drive keeps being successful than we will be a stronger overall team than we have been in the last 4 years.

Many underestimate the head knock issue that you raised and I see it as a major problem for Tedesco in the future as he does not seem to have to cop more than a minor hit to he ruled out via HIA. I have been concerned that he has been headed the way of Liam Fulton, but not our problem for much longer now.

Comparing lolohea to Tedesco is pretty tragic….if supporters are happy not to lose players come rep time...then they'll have to get used to long times on the bottom of the ladder
