The Liddle tackle and Brooks field goal

Liddle is a fine hooker. He cops a lot of criticism on this forum.

He's not bad. Tries. I just think fitness and some technique around the ruck let's him down.

If you watch Grant or API and the way they move the forwards around is amazing.

He done great tonight though. I'd like him and Simpkins in the side.

The pass from Liddle to Brooks for the FG was spot on. There was a lot going on at that stage and he had to pick out Brooks under pressure.

Wouldn't have been the easiest of passes because it was almost directly behind him but he hung it out in front of Brooks just right not to crowd him out.

His passes previously from DH were for me sometimes not good enough. But not tonight he was really decisive.

Yep Hastings was in on what was happening but i'm not sure Liddle was given a heads up until he sees Hastings pointing to Brooks. If thats the case he makes that decision and pass in a split second. Pretty impressive.

Jacob had a few poor elements and overall game against the sharks, so deserved criticism and maybe dropping, but he always puts in and is unfairly maligned in an agenda like fashion from some quarters.

After that tackle..When they still had us stretched on the right. One of the Tigers came up with another big tackle that knock the ball free out of the South attackers grip. Could have been Joffra or Brooks. From Liddles tackle and the other one we were able to work it back down field.

I’m Hastings post match interview it was Brooks who over called the field goal play..

Brooks wanted it and nailed it..
