The Luai dilemma...

Luai walks back in to this team.
Let’s hope the prick has been watching the past couple of weeks and can adjust to suit.
His style ruins our attack more often than not.

I understand why you have a problem with him.

Thing is, the day he walked into the club, and once Benji was in control- this club had a different feel.

This is not your wooden spoon Tigers anymore- and Luai's effect can't be diminished in that. Or Api, although I don't think Api's influence was as great. Maybe Terrell May to a degree.

The Tigers bought an attitude & that attitude has to be on the field.

People will laugh but I think bringing back Sheens was the first baby step back towards credibility at the club. From there, there’s been a series of good decisions (and some poor ones) but a gradual improvement along a steady path. Api, Luai and a few others from strong systems were huge.

Hopefully this year is a giant leap forward.

100% agree.

I understand why people have an issue with Sheens.

But before his return, our pathways was a debacle. He has faults, but he's a master of club building. It's a shame they couldn't find a way for him to be Football GM or something.

lol this thread is dumb. The halves will be luai and AD . Madden has a great kicking game . No running game , and no penetration . Also he’s a target in defence . He is the perfect back up half , only because we can move AD to his more natural five eighth spot . He’s absolutely the perfect squad guy . And ultimately Latu will get the reps in front of him .
He’ll drop back down to KOE cup . Get those boys going , come up for the odd cameo / injury replacement , and will be a key part of this team if it has real intentions of making a dent in the nrl season . He will not be starting over AD nor would he be starting over Latu . But he’s a hell of a player , and apparently a great bloke . A plus recruitment .

It's a bit of a silly thread but it's actually great to see. I pretty much agree with you 100%, but I don't mind the jibber from other folks to be honest. Starting to resemble the forum from the good ol days again.

It's better than reading the usual f1ogs enjoying our clubs struggles and glazing themselves nonstop.

I cant get behind Douhei at #13.

May, Pole and Twal take dirty hit ups. Douhei isnt that type of player.

So it will impact our go forward in the first 25 mins.

Then it stuffs up the Sione and Royce rotation- which appears to be a significant factor in us scoring points late in the first half.

I dont remember our forwards being this good, ever!

Latu stays at #14, thats his spot.

The only way this works is if Jock goes to the bench or we push Douhei to centres. And I dont like either of those options

To your point. Good luck benji.
Maybe Latu to reggies to get those km's in his legs. Become an 80 min. NRL player.
Not exactly setting the world on fire ATM. Someone else for the bench. Plenty of options just not sure how Benji sees it.
Seems that bench spot we may not be able to afford against some sides. Especially if we have Latu, Luai and Doueihi all available-----all runners. Madden is a must for these guys.
