If i remember , papenhayzen and latrall Mitchell played together in rep football , word was that they were both very good . But papa had heaps of problems with his hamstrings , and was side lined more than he played . Maybe that was the reason we gave up on him , maybe are medical staff were to blame .

So there is a common reference point with these players.

You may think that Paps is a WT player but only at lower grades, and he most likely would not have been the player that he is now unless he went to the Storm under Bellamy.

We sign players based upon getting opportunities to play top grade and we have players signed at other clubs seeking there own opportunities, guess he was not that loyal to stay and wait for his chance, that does not make him a WT player....

First i heard of this, I always thought he was a Tigers junior. He was definitely a Tigers under 16s rep.


Played for Kellyville and Hills Bulls. Grew up in Kellyville. My son was mates with him at school.

He was at shamrocks for a while as well

How do you determine which juniours to keep and which to let go?

Is it size? Papenhuyzen and Mullaney were small Liolavave, Tatola and Paseka were massive.
Is it injury?Papenhuyzen, Benji, Tedesco and Milone all missed significant periods due to injury.

We should come up with a criteria (like the plodder scale) that determines which juniors should be kept.

These criteria can be known as "The Papenhuyzen Principles".
