The spoon

If we had given him the reins to recruit, we might have some Tony.

What has happened since he was butchered?!

I’ll tell you, something we never achieved under his watch, it’s called the wooden spoon.

Tim’s grubby comments was my major point. Heartless, unnecessary, disrespectful, self serving nonsense.

And Tony aside, for all of you shills out there, busying yourselves enjoying our spoon, you can’t quite resort to blaming Madge because it was your lot who appointed him at first instance.

So get his name out of your lying mouths, turn off your boom box and step off his grave.

I wouldn't be so focused on the spoon. Just media social media garage. Really 9th or last same result.

Despite your love for madge, he couldn't develop, he couldn't recruit, couldn't coach yes he could of got us to 12th by flogging the players I'm glad they are ripping the joint apart and starting again.

I trust the Coach that done it before with us, than a coach that never coached the NRL team!
The only coach I would rather have is Bellamy.šŸ…
On current form, every other coach in the NRL is better that ours, so there are many choices.

But others who have done good things over theyears as well who could coach again.

Benji has done nothing coaching. No runs on the board at all. Very poor selection.

Tim is far better placed, so it’s up to him to have everything sorted (over/sorted) before Benji takes over.

Arthur is my favourite coach at the moment. I like how his sides can overcome. They have bad days, they can be heart attack material consistency wise, but they can take down any side and overall he improves player performances.

Same old faces, I don’t think they are starting again.

I would have kept Madge for at least for the balance of the year as Noddy, bless his heart, can’t take a trick.

I would have opened applications up now and used Tim as a consultant only but no control.

Given our decisions have been so poor, I would have brought in an external recruitment organisation to help us manage it and whittle the applications down to the best candidates for our needs.

Keep it professional, at arms length and within a solid process people could subscribe and buy into.

I would have invited interested members to make submissions and engage. At least have a say.

It’s important for organisations to know the limits of their skills and abilities. We are not the best at recruiting coaches. We need to own that and fix it. There’s no shame when it’s the right thing to do.

But we wont even acknowledge there’s a problem, that condemns us and makes things harder.

It's not an office mate. Hopefully some footy heads can change up the place.

If you look at Newcastle who have made some very corporate decisions lately getting HR involved was embarrassing and a horror show.

If you don’t think the top clubs don’t have good offices, I can’t help you Tony.

As Jack Gibson said. True then, true now.

Yes I've heard JB quote a million times

The Roosters have the channel 9 boss and Nick p on the board . Unfortunately I don't see a wests ashfield run club attracting the same talent.

Exactly what Sheens was thinking when he released Leilua, Mikaele and loaned out Nofa.
To avoid the spoon it was.silly. for.preplanning for the future and his tenure then it was a smart move.

The issue is that everything thinks this is bottom. I honestly think we havnt hit bottom yet. I don't think Papilii will be here next year. I don't think we will get any decent recruits. Our pathways players are unproven. No confidence in Sheen's to do much more than Kimorley to be honest but I think Benji having a crack isn't the worse idea. If he can get a great defensive coach on his team things could improve.

drastic change is required, so lazy players that had more than enough chances must be removed. On my unwanted list are Nofoaluma, Seyfarth, Gildart, Twal, Simpkin, Liddle, Brooks, Madden, Roberts, and Peachy.

I don't think any of those players want to be at the club either, almost all of those will be gone next year or the year after. However, as you can tell, no one is knocking the door down to come and play here, even the ones contracted don't want to come.
