Tigers boss backs combined competition

Its great to see Wests Tigers taking more positive steps with Wests Ashfield being called Wests Tigers and Wests Campbelltown also agreeing to be called Wests Tigers for 2013.

Just confirming, this is just agreeing to the name of the state cup team. The two leagues clubs are not changing their names to wests tigers in 2013?

Proposal is for Magpies & BRET combining in 2013 at NSW cup level only and be known as WT (alternating strips and home grounds). Stay Separate in harold matts and sg ball. No change to Wests Ashfield, Wests Campbelltown or TIgers Five Dock/Flemington leagues club.

Personally in don't foresee Ashfield being rebranded as WT leagues club. I think the magpie will be around. Wests Campbelltown has already painted the club black & gold and sadly has no magpies memorabilia (despite the history of the magpies bringing first grade to ctown) and there could be a possibility of being rebranded wests tigers leagues club one day…..

The exterior colours of Wests Campbelltown are not black and gold at all, they are earthy brown type colours. The dull Orange colour is long gone.
