There were only 500 votes on the petition. Then the article by his employer, Fox Sports, was released and it jumped to over 5000. My mate is an Eels fan and he signed the petition just to get under my skin. Overall, my impression is that it won't make a difference. Pascoe, Hartigan and Madge are too robust too be swayed by public opinion.

There are stacks of non WT fans voting on this thing.

I said this would happen 4 months back, Benji would become a distraction, and it would hamper the club moving forward, but the rusted on Benji lovers said I was being over dramatic because I hated him

Benji's kick on the 2nd tackle with 3 minutes to go is the exact reason why he shouldn't be given another year. He should have let the reigns go and let Brooks/Grant/Liddle run the last portion. If there's 20 seconds on the clock, then by all means Benji go for the miracle kick, but at least give us a chance before that.
