That the recent camp they had ended up with them being honest with the coaching staff, telling them the defensive structure they are learning is suffocating the natural talent in the team.

The coaching staff replied, with o.k we will compromise, for the game against the Titans and see what happens.

yeah I know, dreams are free.

You made that UP…. :astonished:

Round 13 deadline is COB today - after that players can't backflip - hope we hear some signings

Have got a feeling we will sign no one.
Thought the club would at least give us something positive to look forward to by announcing that there will be a player signing today.

The one thing the club has really improved on lately is plugging up the media leaks. Well done Tigers !

There's not that much on the market worth buying this year. Next year there is plenty of talent on the market so wouldn't be that unhappy if we saved the cash to be honest.

I am baffled at how we could be anywhere near the top of our cap, so one can only assume we are spending our NRL grant on operational costs like coaches, admin staff and possibly servicing existing debt. Its the only logical assumption. The fact that almost every club has made and announced signings well prior to the round 13 cut off would have you think all is not well with our bottom line. It is also probably why they seem to have put a for sale sign on half our contracted roster and I suppose they can not be upfront about their situation as it could scare sponsors, punters and players.

Love to hear something positive from the spin department on our playing roster for 2016, because if we trot out much the same as we have this year it will seriously test my resolve for the place

There is no way we are near full cap.

IMO thats just spin….we have offloaded heaps of players on good coin.

I think JT is just waiting for the right guys to come along and thats fair enough...no use hurrying something like this.

Assuming we have the cap space and the money and the right player comes onto the market, how do we entice him to our club and more to the point beat the other clubs in the market place to the signature. Lets face it the player market is like the Sydney property market, over inflated and under stocked.

Anyway ST I hope you are right and some good news is not that far away, but having been around this club for yonks it is very hard to get optimistic

I think you'll find we are paying far too much for far too little…

I remember Sheens making a statement we had to pay overs (100+) to keep juniors like Sironen etc, while they were still in 20's.
That's why Sironen has been in the NRL since... Because he's been on NRL players wages...

JT was quoted in saying that our cap was a mess and it's gonna take a few years to clear it.
The back ending of contracts of Siro, Rowdy etc. Would be killing us....
- As well as having some of the best juniors in the comp.

We are broke - We are playing poorly - We aren't getting numbers to games....
Leichhardt crowd on a nice Friday night was a joke!!
WE ARE IN BIG TROUBLE!!
