Normal procedure seems to be announcements leading up to a Leichhardt or Campbeltown home game to boost the gate as the club gets to pocket the extra dollars, unlike Homebush where the stadium benefits.

I've never understood that. Maybe history will prove me wrong, but why would a future signing boost current attendance? Stuff like Tedesco reneging I can sort of get, but I wouldn't have thought a new signing would unless they start playing that week.

On a current thread titled "player signings" it has been reported that our CEO confirmed that we are looking at a couple of backrowers and an outside back. He would not commit on timing other then that it would take place before pre-season 2016.
