Tigers interested in Beau Scott

Yes please. From what i've seen so far, it's confirmed to me we're lacking a class second rower. Siro looks like he's improving, but i'm iffy on Sue.

11\. Siro
12\. Scott
13\. Taupau

I like it.

and he takes the place of an up and comer..?.I'd rather we spend the money on a good forwards coach and develop the youngsters on the finer points of their game rather than take away their NRL opportunities

You can't have an entire team filled with juniors. You need to balance it out with good recruitment as well.

Me too, wish it was for this season though.

Keyboard warriors.

I don't even like Beau Scott and I'd take him.

Doesn't surprise me that people say no. People were saying no when the topic of Steve Matai came up a little while ago. Not sure if there is another group of supporters so against bringing in marquee players that would take the club forward.

Matai! Ha! As if this forum would go for him when they reject the mere idea of other marquee players. People on here out-rightly said no (and some still say no) to Israel Folau, Thurston DCE, Cronk, Inglis.
WTF!

Let's see if Folau, Hayne or Sam Burgess come back. People on here will say no (prob Manly fans in disguise).

If Moss can fit it into our cap then absolutely

All things hat Geo said plus he is one of the hardest nuts going around - plus he is a winner with a winner mentality and from what I hear he is the sort of player that others love to play with

Come on this guy rubbed out JT last week with aplomb.

Sooner rather than later we will have most of our Harold Mathews squad going thru the NRL.

Why purchase so called Marquee players with the juniors we have coming on.

Oh thats right their the Balmain Boys…....................pfffft.

I am putting trust in Taylor and especially Moss to properly manage our player list and cap over the next few years. I have been impressed by JT so far but Moss is a back room guy so I din't get to judge properly so far

Anyone who thinks we shouldn't sign him really haven't given this any thought. HE IS EXACTLY THE TYPE OF PLAYER WE NEED.\

2 year deal. By the time he gets to the back end of it all our youngsters will be coming off contract and we can jump on the ones that are showing promise.

I''ve believed for a long time the Panthers have had the perfect mix of juniors and recruitment. You can't fill a side with 17 local juniors. Not even in 05 did we do that, we still had Prince, Richards, Whaturia, Payten, Elford and Hodgo, who you can argue should have been there from the start anyway. That's almost half the side filled with guys we recruited. The juniors didn't do it all in 05, and they can't do it all in '15 and beyond either.

I think its a matter of being a club that has juniors and the fans being passionate and excited about those juniors.

Yeah you are right, we would be crazy to say no to Scott but the real question is which one or two of young back rowers do we sacrifice to make that happen.

Which two would you get rid of out of Taupau, Sirro, Sue, Funaki, Lio and Lovett ?

Who says they will all kick on? If we're being realistic, law of averages says at least one them won't go on to be the player everyone is expecting.

Well…you need depth...and the coach has admitted this position is one we are weak in......its more than just 13 or 17

???????????????????????????? Where is that coming from?

Big yes from me. The exact sort of backrower we need. Aggressive, faultless defender, rep player, would provide so much experience and mentoring for our young back rowers like siro, liolevave, funaki etc.

Yes we would prob lose say a lovett or sue and a someone with big raps doesn't measure up. But that's life. You need mature experienced players like Scott in the team with youngsters to get the correct balance.

Of course for the right price and contract length. Personally a two year contract around the 400k mark would be a good acquisition for the club and a two year contract fills our weakest position and allows for the club to develop the Liolevave etc steadily and not rush them into first grade.

I'm going to say no. I'd rather continue to develop Sironen and Sue and next season we will definitely see more of the likes of Liolevave and Funaki. I think we would end up paying overs for someone like Scott and I don't think he's worth it.
