Tim Sheens paid $8,650 a week to do nothing

Rather than be remembered as the coach who gave us our first title, he will rather be remembered as the coach who tried to send us broke. Lets not kid ourselves , we cannot afford to be paying close to a million dollars away to a coach who was way past it. Imagine how many times we could have rearranged the gym around.

The problem is if the club wins, we will never get a top level coach again. Who other than someone desperate sign with us knowing if they were sacked they'd not get what every other coach at every other club would. This is crazy stupid and pointless. Pay him and wipe him like a dirty ass

He is just claiming what is rightfully his, nothing more and nothing less. Would you turn your back on that sort of money? No way in the world. None of us would, anyone who says they would has got their hand on themselves.

Agree if we are paying him that much, let him earn it by doing something!

Do you guys really want Sheens to be at the club in ANY capacity? Really?

If that didn't set factions against each other then nothing would. There would be nothing but white-anting every day.

I know everyone is entitled to an opinion but please step back and take a breathe.

His contract more than likely states his duties are to be: Head coach Wests Tigers NRL RL "….anything else likely doesnt come into it.

No one else to blame but the management for this.

Totally agree,
Sheens has every right and i bet most of you NOW realise what a excellent coach he was.

Theyre two very very different topics.

Totally unrelated

He was old stale and past it here…he had to go, the club just screwed things up as usual
Excellent coaches dont have less than 50% win rate

Blame Humphries for re-signing him at end of 2011 when he could have made a fresh start at Penrith and WT could have started fresh with a new coach and we may have had a better 2012 & 2013

Humphries paid the price for his poor decision making in re-signing him.. WT is now paying for it literally.

Its a board decision and you guy need to wake up he was the best coach for this style of team

If I remember correctly many many people (including on here) were doing cartwheels when we re-signed Sheens. We were a top 4 side with huge expectations, and Sheens was in big demand.

Without the advantage of a crystal ball, no one foresaw the place turning to s***. So it's just abit funny to see how public opinion has turned against the board when at the time people were high fiveing the fact Sheens was locked in for the foreseeable future.

Actually, many people were very unhappy. There were plenty of deluded people who were happy though.

The club stuffed up in terms of not putting it in writing when Sheens declared " if we don't make the 8 I will step aside from the job at season's end " .
The man did not honour his word when we failed to make the 8 last year , and now we are paying the price for that .
Yeah Contract wise he's getting what his entitled to , but in my eyes his a man with no Integrity…

Garbage??? Whatever mate, if it wasnt for concistent injuries and badluck eg against the scrum wins in a semi….
SHEENS would be the no 1 coach, not only that his stule of attack and speed is the most exciting games to watch.
Seiously look how boring and robotict the game has become... Anyone think otherwise is a typical programmed sheep that society eants everyone to be, just look at the game no individualism ot boring same motions Wakeup!!!

How good is this story, finally the world knows 😛ray: what this man is doing to our club, yes the club stood him down as head coach, but gave a different roll with the juniors, but still does not turn up, banking the pay cheque for no out put, tim cry me a river, do the right thing and go, take a pay out within reason,.

We don't just have sheens getting this great money sitting on his backside doing nothing but also Benji gets paid even more a week and does even less then sheens!!! NOTHING!!!
Humphreys has a lot to answer for this club!!! he panicked when he thought sheens was going to Penrith then everything has gone down hill ever since

I think they do something every week for the Tigers

They both continue to lose us games every week Sheens with his recruiting and Benji with less than average performances week in week out

I Can feel a Stryker rant coming on ,I can feel a Stryker rant coming on , got the taste for it ,just can't wait for it ,I can feel a Stryker rant coming on

Bottom line, the club and Sheens needs to work something out. I agree we can't expect Tim to walk away with nothing, but a compromise needs to be hammered out, which is what they are doing I guess.

The ACB sorted the settlement out with Mickey Arthur fairly quickly. As you'd expect a professional outfit would. Us on the other hand…..

You mean the AUSTRALIAN cricket board, who just signed a new TV deal. Hardly a comparison to a single club.

Why? They both got rid of their coach and had to work out a settlement. The ACB could and we cant. Obviously they have more money than us but the financials should have been discussed when they were planing to bone him.
