Tommy Raudonikis memorial jersey Rd 9 v Titans

They can't sell the jerseys (besides the player worn ones) due to NRL licensing issues according to the club.

Tigers Premier Partner Neds are proud to be supporting charity organisation Smart Pups Assistance Dogs by donating their sternum presence on the team’s jersey this weekend.

In celebration of the late Tommy Raudonikis OAM, Wests Tigers will wear a specially-designed jersey for their Round 9 clash with the Smart Pups logo to instead feature prominently on the front of the strip.

In addition to donating their jersey presence, Neds will also make a financial contribution of $5,000 to Smart Pups, which will be presented at Campbelltown Sports Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Smart Pups Assistance Dogs is a non-for-profit charity organisation based on the Sunshine Coast that specialise in providing trained service dogs to assist children with special needs. A charity that was to the heart of Raudonikis, their goal is to improve the quality of life of children with special needs by training assistance dogs in task-specific skills.

Smart Pups CEO Janelle Denny expressed her gratitude towards Neds for their generosity.

“Smart Pups Assistance Dogs is so very appreciative of the generosity of Neds as their gift will help families achieve their goals for greater independence,” Denny said.

“This donation will enable us to purchase specially-bred labrador and golden retriever puppies for our assistance dog training program. These puppies will go on to become an integral part of the life of a child with a diagnosed special-need such as autism, seizures, mobility and diabetes-related syndromes.”

Neds Executive Director – Corporate Development Karl deKroo said the organisation was delighted to be able to contribute in this way.

“Neds is thrilled to partner with Wests Tigers and Smart Pups on this special jersey,” deKroo said.

“Tommy Raudonikis was a true rugby league legend and that has been reflected in the tributes that have flowed since his passing.

“Smart Pups was a charity very close to Tommy’s heart — he saw firsthand the number of children who had their quality of life improved through a Smart Pups assistance dog," he said.

“This truly is a great cause and, combining our jersey presence to promote Smart Pups and an initial $5,000 donation, we are delighted to be able to play our part in celebrating the life of Tommy Raudonikis.”

Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe thanked Neds for their ongoing support and said he was looking forward to seeing the special jersey in action.

“On behalf of all at the club, I’d like to thank Neds for their partnership with the club and their unreserved contributions towards Smart Pups this weekend,” Pascoe said.

“It has been a tremendous effort by all involved to bring this jersey to life and I’m looking forward to seeing a strong Wests Tigers performance at Campbelltown Sports Stadium on Saturday.”

Looks good, hope to see the Phillips Balmain Jersey one day again.

We will, but I don't want another former player to die for quite a while to warrant it, we have had enough in the last 12 months

Lets hope that the boys do it right this time and make Campbelltown "Our House" in honour of Tommy.

Wests Tigers have an enormous; throbbing heart and it’s now time to take the TOMMY approach with these players to find out just how much ticker they prefer playing with when the whole world is watching

I hope we go better than Pharlap. Although highly unlikely - they might feel some of the prestige and magical essence running through that jersey and look around to see a group of magpies circling that will blot the sun.

This all coming from a younger Balmain fan who’s grandad proudly sponsored Blocker and the boys in the 80’s: let me say these jerseys have somehow restored a lot of my ’05 faith:.

Thanks Wests Tigers for journey so far

Let's hope the boys show more heart wearing this jersey than they did v Cows at Leichhardt that was played to commemorate his passing.

Great jersey. Surely they are fired up to make amends for the Leichhardt game. If these players want to show that they have any heart this is an opportunity

Awesome !
I’ll be bidding on one for sure.

If they play like they did in the Cowboys game the jerseys will be in great condition.

We are due for a shocker.
We’ve already had our win for the quarter.

I’ve been saying this for years, consider this sequence,

GOOD - lead against competition heavy weights the Raiders in Canberra for 35 mins before fading

BAD - Completely outplayed at home by th Roosters

GOOD - beat the Knights in Newcastle

BAD - concede 3 quick tries to effectively be out of the game against Parra

GOOD - fight back in the game to have ball at a two point deficit 22-24 before fading

BAD - in the Tommy game. We fail to come out of the blocks - record half time deficit.

GOOD - we win the second half easily

BAD - but fade late and lose after conceding a soft try when a decision goes against us

GOOD - an 80 minute performance despite a golden point loss against Souths

BAD - An inept display against Manly

GOOD - only concede 8 pts in beating the Dragons.

This pattern can be cut and paste across most Wests Tigers seasons in recent memory. There is a psychological element that I’m not sure we’ve ever addressed. Bring the shrinks in.

For the record, the Titans are morals to lead at HT this week.

we did have Leo Nosworthy die earlier in the year last coach to coach Balmain tigers to a premiership in 1969 and previous player.

forgot about Dave Bolton
Difference is they were not Magpies I guess
a balmain jersey would sell the lights out

I'm an old Magpies dinosaur and think this jersey is fantastic to commemorate Tommy. I would love to see the club do the same with the Phillips tigers jersey to commerate the passing of any Balmain legends as well. It is a way of celebrating where we have come from.

Seriously?
I was only thinking we've really matured, 10, 15 years ago we saw this Wests balmain rubbish all the time... Most of us have gone past that
