Tony Williams

IMO he has never shone as a forward.

Was a pretty good winger though.

He did shine as a forward for that brief period around when he played for Australia. He was pretty much the most dominant ball runner in the game for a little while there and broke tackles at will. It didn't last though and that was a long time ago now, pre his Bulldogs days. The difference between his best and his worst is enormous and he spends far too much time playing at his worst (like years on end). We should leave signings like him to the Gold Coast.

Sure he's struggled at two-bit loser outfits like the Dogs and Manly, but once he's in an ultra-professional outfit like the WTs he will shine like a diamond.

I'm confident in a 20% performance boost straight away upon seeing the arrangement of our gym equipment…

JT should not be empowered to buy any new players. What money is available should be allocated to a new coach so he can go to market or retain our best young talent.

You mean Mark O'Neill Manager of Football Operations don't you…

O’Neill will be in charge of all recruitment, retention and the Tigers head coach.

Tony Williams? 😱pen_mouth: Massive risk, we'd probably sign him after our Club accepts him not playing Sundays…...Hopoate style, Sam Perrett tried.

Lazy player, plays the game to soft when you consider the size of him.

NO,but if he does come 1yr contracts only so he has to work for his money, anything longer and he will just hang out like he is collecting the dole.

I read on Ali's NRL Rumours - (Geo's Favourite Rumours) That;

Channel 7 have just reported that the Manly SeaEagles are interested in signing Bulldogs player Tony Williams EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY!. Deal may happen very soon.

So happy! Don't want to see another plodder in Tigers colours..

Then again I'm not sure about this rumour.

well theres more of the same story here

Out-of-favour Canterbury NRL forward Tony Williams is reportedly set to leave the Bulldogs for a mid-season return to Manly.

The Seven Network is reporting both clubs have been involved in talks on a transfer for the out-of-contract back-rower who is in his fourth season with Canterbury.

T-Rex was dropped to reserve grade a fortnight ago when he strained his hamstring at training and was ruled out for up to three weeks.

In four years at Manly, the 27-year-old earned NSW State of Origin and Australian representative honours.

Williams also started in the Sea Eagles' 2011 grand final victory.

T-Rex played really well tonight. I reckon for the right price he would be a great addition to our forward pack

Of course he played well, it's contract time.

One year deal then

Not that crazy in regards to Williams. It would be the only way to ensure he actually has a go.
