Triple M rumour

We must have a lot of masochists in our side given how many have either re-signed or taken up options in their favour in the last 12 months. The only player whose been treated poorly is one with a checkered history of rocky relationships with ex coaches, and even some players. If anyone can tell me another player this administration has supposedly shafted, i'm all ears.

Cherrington didn't get a proper go.

Hayne to the Titans. I thinks this is the rumour they refer to?

Well spotted! Perhaps now we can shut down this thread that has turned into yet another RF/JT slanging match.

Addo-Carr wasn't given a proper go, well not until half way through the year and by then it was already to late.
JT persisted with Rankin when everyone could see he needed to be dropped.

We bought a reserve grade hooker already ruled out for season last year.
That worked out well.

When did Ballin play reserve grade?

The simple answer is this year …with us.
He was released from his 2016/17 contract with the Eagles because he was not in Manly's first grade plans just after he signed a new contract.
He never got a chance to play reserves there because of injury.

Once here he conceded himself he would be playing reserves for us (courtesy of The Australian in May this year)...

'The man meant to be Robbie Farah's replacement has conceded he will have no problems playing reserve grade for the rest of the season if coach Jason Taylor desires, with Matt Ballin conceding the State of Origin veteran deserves the No.1 hooking job. Yet we are happy to let a NZ development player go. So much pressure on Liddle, if he doesnt cut it (i really hope he does) then gee whats the back up plan.

Make of it what you wish.

Worst buy of the season if not decade. Not wanted at his club for a reason. Had knee reconstruction and the tigers sign an ageing hooker on one leg that will miss the first 10 games of the year. He then plays 2 games and needs another knee reconstruction, you dont need hindsight to tell you if it was a bad buy. And we are happy to have a player on one leg be our main dummy half in 2017.

Braith Anasta says hi. Easily the worst signing in Wests Tigers colours. I would have preferred him injured during his tenure here.

Cherrington maybe, JAC i would disagree with. round 8 or 9 against the Storm was reasonable time for a rookie to get a shot. He's looked like an exciting player when given a shot, but has a howler of an error in him, plus has no idea how to position his body when rucking the ball out of his own end. Plus he's not going to be here in 2017\. The club did mess up by not re-signing him, but he still has a bit of work to do before becoming a regular first grader.

I wasn't saying about JAC's ability as i don't think his that good for the reasons you have stated and have said that myself in the past , the only thing his got going for him is Speed.

All i'm saying is i think he should of been given a go much earlier in the Season when i feel Rankin didn't deserve to be in 1st Grade earlier in the year when he played some poor games at the time .
We only signed JAC for 1 year so he was always going to look elsewhere if not given a proper go , obviously now we are not going to play him as any experience he gains now will only benefit the Storm.

Rod Griffin hasn't even been given a go , don't understand this signing.

The worst buy of the season is Foran by daylight :frowning:

Ballin has been a poor signing. i dont care if manly paid part of his contract his nominal value which we have to pay would be at least 120k.In 2017 it is doubtful if he will play a game due to knee problems according to some reports.
It is always a massive risk when you sign an old player who has injury issues. When he signed for us it was known by the club that he would have to miss games at the start of this year.Total waste of money. In many ways it reminds me of Sattler Cayless and Anasta blokes who where old and had injuries before they came here

Parra will now have spare cash to go the market with.
i've heard some Parra fans aren't that disappointed missing out on Hayne. because they would prefer to throw money at the halves and hooker positions. some fans on the radio mentioned Farah would be more be good for them.

I don't remember Anasta having any injuries, unless you count being completely crap as an injury.

Wow…I know what I make of what you make of this. **Clutching**

Clutching at the truth.
You should give it a go.

The difference in treatment between Robbie and Corey Parker is astounding.

Corey is being treated with dignity and respect.
Robbie is being treated like a cancer.

I understand and respect Taylor's courage, but there are better ways that he can do this.

Ballin is a real pro and seems to be a really good guy. I do not have a problem in the world with him being our starting no9 in 2017 as long his knee is up to the physical demands of the NRL. We want a experienced no9 who can mentor Liddle, who is strong defensively, has a good quick pass and wants to keep his name out of the headlines

Driving home tonight Triple M were going to announce a major story regarding a high profile player in a Sydney team but couldn't due to one of the TV stations running out of time. Makes me think it has to be Robbie leaving. Has anyone heard any rumours to what the story is?

If it wasn't for the Sydney team bit I would think it was to do with Haynes signing with Titans as announced this morning.

Yes he did. He barely has half a game in him. He lost his spark after 15 Mins of coming into the game.
Long way off being a starting hooker.

Yes i completly forgot about that dud. Got his retirement out of us, gave nothing, and has the nerve to bag us out every chance he gets in his fox gig.

100% true. I am not one to judge who or who shouldn't be at the club. My problem like you is the way its being done. Disgusting :bash

It's Hayne to the Titans, possibly immediately

This is just the NRL in panic mode and signing him before Rugby lures him for about the same money being offered.
Parra offered 800k a season but he got 1.2m a year deal at the Titans.
