Tuimoala Lolohea Signs with WT

Looks like tigers have secured him. Ball is back with the warriors now as to whether he will be released and if there's any compensation. May take a day or 2\. Fingers crossed. These things are trickier than a normal off contract player signing and need to be approved by the NRL

If they wont release him for this year, will we still sign him for 2018? Do you know any figures $$$

Ashford has been playing well, .I believe Ivan has done his home work an
Left lolahea , For someone else , In answer to one of the above comments
He will never be in the halves at the Warriors , They will play rookies a head of him

They just said on big sports breakfast that he has signed with the cowboys

I am not in the least bit upset by that. Hopefully we can have a go for Hopoate.

Geez I don't know then 😕 Was told yesterday morning by a reliable source that Lolohea and Packer were 100% done deals.

Lolohea would be good signing but nothing you'd loose sleep over if it didn't eventuate.
In Ivan I trust.

Josh massoud get it wrong as much as the online footy experts. Lets wait until something official comes out. I hope we still get him.

It would be weird if he signs with the cowboys cause I heard they only want him for cover when thurston is out, where as we can offer him a first grade spot every week, but if they want him to play with thurston maybe we can get one of their halves, maybe Ray Thomson ??

Take this for what it is but, on the Bulldogs forum someone claims that Latrell Mitchell is on the outer at the Roosters. They say he had a big blowup at Trent Robinson and isn't happy playing reserve grade. Fullback is where he wants to play and he apparently wants a release from his contract. Maybe the Roosters have an inevitable problem on their hands no matter how much they want to keep him.

Macdougal will be happy to hear….

Im not sure about this guy anyway...
He seems ok

Oh well, SG can't get 'em right all the time….

Can't understand why he'd want to go to the Cowboys over the WT....he'd have more opportunity here than the Cowboys....maybe he likes playing ISP....

Or maybe, a better opportunity popped up and we withdrew the offer.

Like Ben Barba….(hopes not)...Hoppa(if he plays Sundays) would be better than Lolo.....

Yeh I don't know what to beleive anymore, so many rumours flying around at the moment, it's crazy. I suppose just wait and see what's made official.

He was coached by Green under 20 at roosters

Correction,
I just read the article.
Green coached against him in the under 20s whilst coach of the Roosters.
It's simple guys. He obviously wants a start and will get the chance for the next 6 weeks with Thurston injured and then origin. Afterwards he may become a halves utility in place of Hampton.
The other lure of North Queensland over the tigers is the fact he will learn his trade off Thurston, Coote and not be throw into the deep end here at the tigers plus he can aim to settle on one position and it sounds like he wants to play 5/8 more than anything.
I've never been confident that the deal we were offering this year that he'd be happy with playing 5/8 for half a year then being pushed back to fullback the following. It's kind of a demotion if you think about it. And if he was to play fullback next year you would think he would prefer to play that from the get go with Teddy being moved to the wing or 5/8 for the remainder of the year.

Well the search goes on I guess…

Mixed feelings about him anyway given his form of late, even though some on the forum were very excited at the prospect of him signing with the Tigers. Search continues with a few candidates such as Hoppa (as long as he agrees to play on Sundays), Barba, Mitchell (if rumours of unrest at the Roosters are correct) and maybe Gordon for a year even though he has stated this could be his last year in the NRL.
