I haven;t gone to a game now for almost 2 years. Haven’t had a membership for 4 years now

Like "us"? You haven't been to a game for 2 years or membership for longer. I am guessing you haven't bought a jersey.

All well and good to give up on the team but there's a group of supporters that I am part of, and by your subscription, pretty sure you aren't a part of my group.

And what does it mean that I'm not a part of your group? Somehow you guys are superior supporters to me?

Not answering for @jirskyr but you did say.........."a loyal supporter base **like us** who keep *forking out money*" ......and then go on to point out that you no longer "fork out money", so by definition, you would no longer be part of that supporter group?

So I haven't been a member for 2 years means I am not a supporter?

I think you need to re-read your own posts.

Nobody is arguing you are not a supporter. The argument is you are no longer part of the group of supporters that spends money on the Tigers.

That's not what I came to argue.

You conveniently ignored the main part of my post.

I had no issue with the main part of your post. We can drop it if you like, it's no big deal.

And the reason I said 12 teams was simply because the NRL doesn't have the same talent pool anymore. Andrew Johns has been banging on about this for 2 years as well.

Unfortunately, businesses fail, organisations fail and teams fail. This team hasn't been in the premiership race for 10 years and won't be anywhere close to it for another 3-4 years at least.

You and your "group" can keep supporting them and cheering them, full respect to you. But the last game I went to was the Round 26 game against Cronulla and then after COVID last year, I have no motivation to go to games.

The club has done very well of hyping up every season and it has one of the biggest supporter basis in the NRL. I think we are in the Top 6 for membership sales every year.

My passion for this team is decreasing every year and there would be many more like me.

Are you basing it off just on field performance.. Or Corporate Support..Financials..Memberships...TV Ratings.. Crowd Numbers for the Cull.. ?

The reason for ALL of above being **good** is because WT have a loyal supporter base. They will lose this if the on field performances stay the same.

It's been 10 years yet apart from on the field those areas still contunue to grow..weird..

You are proving my point and you don't even know it.

They are growing because WT are a team in the NRL. Because of a historic supporter base which was based on on-field results through Balmain Tigers, Magpies and then WT. Right now, WT are probably the worst club in the NRL. I am not blaming the organisation or coaches or players btw. The WT as a brand is a failure and will continue to be so for a couple more years at least.

Yeh, many will stick around and the joint venture may continue but this organisation is undeserving.

Better management. Better off field management provides hope that on field change is coming. Yet to be realised obviously.

So you are part of the supporter base forking out money to the Tigers? What form does your forking take?

Im not judging, its just that you made a point of telling us all that you havent been to a game or paid membership for years, what is the point of saying that if you are still forking out?

Not surprised to see him single out the effort of the Leilua brothers. (See TigersVsRoosters game review approx 20:52)

Thanks Lauren. Fair and honest comments by Sterlo, which I think just about everyone would have to agree with.

You could go through the whole side they all made mistakes if we don’t beat the knights who I reckon are ordinary that’s when big changes should be made

Yesterday on FTA Freddy and the female co commentator were in the stands promoting out new members initiative with the scarves… A one third full main stand, looked embarrassing… I’ve stopped going to games… I’m pretty much over it

I wouldn't be putting yesterday's crowd outcome squarely on the club. Sure the performance was ordinary but torrential rain isn't a positive impact for anyone.

I was in the area and dodged the game. The weather played a part but getting lapped by that much was pretty predictable

It's not a case of "if" we don't beat them...we won't get within 20 points of the Knights - they'll towel us up through the ruck like they did both times last season.

Sadly you’re a fair chance of being correct. If we can’t get within 20 of a fringe top eight side, surely major changes are inevitable. CEO, coach or halfback ?

Problem starts with the halfback - he's been a constant for 7-8 years now. Yes, he's improved his defence a lot. Kicking game? Nope...Organisational game? Hell no. Add that up and what do you get? No finals...

Nothing ordinary about their forward pack. Best is a beast as well.

You need to read between the lines with the Tigers. Over the last few years recruited Blore, Utoikamanu, Luciano, Tuilagi, Simpkin, Simpkins, Laurie, Douihei, Hoffman, Kepoa, A lot of young junior reps also. A few hard heads with experience in Tamou, Ofehengaue and some options with get out clauses Jet and BJ.

This is not the recruitment of a club that’s trying to win now. Tamou is right we are like the Panthers but closer to 2013 version. It’s a hard slog but the club is taking the right path with its investment in path ways.

I just hope we change our media and promotions area and start telling everyone what it is. It’s a long hard rebuild and it’s why Madge was extended he wasn’t sticking around on a short term contract with the Tigers position.

We don’t want to accept it as it’s a decade out of finals but it’s the reality. The squad is better this year but reality is top teams are miles ahead.

The players gone from last year and their replacements

Thompson - Laurie - 2021 wins
Robert Jennings - AJ - 2021 wins
Benji - replaced by AD, Replaced by TT - Close thing but I say 2021, moreso if you consider JTJ
Josh Reynolds - Brooks - As poor as he was, still Brooks 2021 wins
Billy Walters - Liddle - Clear win 2021
Aloiai - Tamou or Joe O - Clear Win 2021
Lawrence - Stefano - Win 2021

I think yesterdays team pumps last years team easily. This years pack would crush last years.

I agree and both teams got pumped by theR Roosters.
