@jirskyr said:I don't get what the big deal is? If we sign him it is going to cost $5 and will hardly impact if he doesn't get a run. If we are suddenly low on depth it will be a masterstroke.
I think we have proven since Sheens took over that we take fairly good risks (e.g. Pat Richards, Whatuira, Galloway, Brown) and don't pay overs for mediocre players.
@underdog said:lets at least get him through the first trial match, then lets see how he goes.
for all we know, Utai could score 5 tries against the cowgirls, and single handedly become another Sheens masterstroke. If he's a nuffy, he'll be found out. sheens and folkes aren't mugs.

@Snake said:I don't understand the interest in Utai but I,m one that thinks you should be given the opportunity to show if you have the goods the guy has expieriance whether he still has the goods remains to be seen but he is being given the opportunity so who knows .
@Jono10 said:This is truly a terrible signing for the tigers this is worse is when they signed fitzhenry.
@willow said:Stick to the topic please and stop the Fitzhenry bashing. He's no longer at the club so let it go and discuss **the merits of signing Utai**.
