He won't get any special favours so purchasing an ex international at the age of 29 for 2nd tier money seems a great investment. If you look at clubs who have been successful the last few years a lot of them have ended up with a great player on low wages and its helped them do well - much like Gasnier, Bird and Carney have been the last few years
