VOTE: Brooks or Moses

I'm for keeping both, you have to remember they are both kid as far as NRL is concerned.
The same as some of our forwards, when they get more go forwards Brooks and Moses will both shine.

Brooks is the better player and has always been. His attitude has sucked nuggets at times but for the past month he has come along fairly nicely. Moses continues to be style over substance.

From last game:

6\. Moses - 29 metres in attack, 1 line break, 1 try assist, 15 tackles, 5 missed tackles

7\. Brooks - 20 metres in attack, 14 tackles, 4 missed tackles

I think Moses pushed all the right buttons last week where as I thought Brookes had ducked over to McDonalds during the game - but lets us all keep mum about it.

**The poll was floored to start with.

Should have been able to vote to keep both.**

Do not see why it has to be either or. They complement each other; having said that there is no doubt in my mind that over time Moses will be THE ONE. Brooks will be good but only a great club player. Having said that, they should both be kept as half the spine with Teddy and Liddle the other half. Yes, they are better with ET and will be even better with Liddle.

We knew it would be "rocks and diamonds" - nothing has changed. A couple of more experienced players would make them sensational. i.e. players who run correct lines, back up and correctly run decoys would give them more options and so increase and improve our scoring chances rather than one telegraphed play at a time.

I have no problem with their defence - it is improving and after another off season it will be be just about right.

Okay, let's end the debate with a vote.
**Hypothetically speaking** - at seasons' end, we had **no choice but to only keep one** of our young halves, which one is it going to be, in your opinion?

Think my post tells you Demps.

Hypothetically - why can't we keep both?

well, hypothetically if that was an option… in this scenario
there wouldn't be a thread.

lol, i'm just defending my thread.

Keep in mind Brooks had two line-break assists that led to tries and was kicking quite well (aside from one shocker I think). Though I think Moses had a good game too.

But I've always rated Brooks as the better one and still do.

Brooks got credited for a total of 3 line break assists in SuperCoach scoring. That's a lot of good attacking opportunities created. If you're going to judge a player's game based on stats BBF (not that I would recommend that) then look at all the statistical info available.

Therefore, hypothetically in this scenario as this thread didn't exist - you wouldn't need to defend it Demps not that you needed to. So all good Lol.

Both have played over 50 games and still look like it's their first game of NRL. Can't defend and can't organise the team. Can't get a repeat set. Can't really do much except take a large chunk of the salary cap. Right up there with Hardaker and Maranta.

Cant disagree with most of it
Brooks for sure looks like he is playing his first game each time
His body language hardly ever speaks of confidence

Cleary at 18 years of age played at the level of JT tonight

Cleary is a weapon, can kick goals too and he does that very well.

He'll bring that into next year and get better he's got a good pack at Penrith and with Tamou going down and an extra pre season he'll be a dominant half.

He had a clause that if his father left (which he did) he would follow. But cancelled it and is keen to stay at Panthers. If we were to get Ivan if JT gets sacked than bringing Nathan would be a lot easier only if one of Broses left of course. Jack Bird also would be another player I would look at!

I am keen to keep both Brooks and Moses, I've said it from day one… there defence has gotten a lot better within a short period of time and will get better. When either takes the line on (especially Moses) god they look dangerous.

Initially i thought Brooks was our future. Started with a bang and hasnt really taken that next step. Moses i didnt rate at the start, but his growth has been phenomenal. I really however think they compliment each other. Against the Eels we looked so good until Brooks got imjured. So it think we need to everything we can to keep them both. I dont think we will have much trouble keeping Brooks (cant see anyone else willing to pay $500-$600k) but i think Moses is going to be hard to keep. If he keeps improving we might have to fend off a Bulldogs or Roosters to keep him. Hopefully Tedesco, Brooks and Moses see them sticking together will give them all axhance to play rep footy together and if the stars align win a premiership.

Can't see why we can't . Melbourne have had Smith, Cronk and Slatter for over a decade..and good players around them. Teddy, Moses and Brooks wouldn't be on as much as them and outside the big three we have a weaker side than the Storm.

The key is they wanted to stay together and build a legacy and win a premiership together. Im sure along the way they would have recieved better offers and declined. The fact they only took a one year extension when they had a 3 year deal on the table makes me nervous. We've invested so much and we let some good players go, it would be a shame to lose any of them go.
