It's a better name than "Melbourne Storm" - that's a netball name if I've ever heard one.

Call me old fashioned - but NRL mascots should only ever be animals. Even Newtown calling themselves the Jets was too fancy for my likening. I don't care if it's a bunny-rabbit, or an eel, or a chicken. I'd rally behind a chicken sooner than I would 'Captain Storm' or whoever the hell they have

I'm a fan of them going for a new identity rather than the Reds. I think The Central Coast should adopt a similar option. However i'm not sold on the pirates. I don't know that as i supporter I'd embrace the pirate mascot though. Thats just my opinion. I'd love to see rugby league back in Perth.
