Wests sign Joel Edwards

not an exciting signing, but he is usefull enough and has shown he can handle first grade.

Figure he'll just jump into the fringes as the youngsters come through.

Add a bit of starch defensively, not a great deal ball in hand.

He hits hard, that will win him some forum fans.

For me, another O.K budget signing in the same vein as Bodene Thomson. Clubs need this type of no frills player who just get on and do the job.
Not a match winner obviously, but at the moment, we're not in the market for one of those.

You have to wonder if any of these signings have a realistic chance of being picked in the 17 come round one or are they just seen as fill in players. Every year I hope our coach get serious and picks players on form and drops the odd player who is out of form and it never happens. They roll the same 17 out week in and week out bar injuries

I think Edwards and Hunt are good odds at being in the 17 from the get go. The others will have to scrap it.

I think delouise hoeter would get the wing spot over Justin hunt

I think he is a good signing for club. We needed someone who could protect Brooks and Moses, and from what I've seen of him he is a good tackler.

where do you see them playing Hunt?? Centre??

I reckon Edwards will play plenty of NRL this year, whether he is in the best 17, not so sure, but there will loads of opportunities throughout the year with players in the forwards unavailable.

Not on his form this yr i don't think. Hunt looked good when he got a shot.

I think that young gun from Sharkies has it all locked up tbh

If Joel Edwards can defend like Liam Fulton did, then he will be a good asset to the team.

Welcome aboard, get ready for a roller coaster ride.

The point youre missing milko is we dont know just how new recruits will turn out, until the pull our jersey on….people should at least give the guy a go before judging either way

I'm not against the signing ink,i just don't see him blossoming so late in his career, he will be another Lovett at best but i am happy to eat my words.

Most props blossom late in their careers.

He is a backrower

Could be a good signing.

Hopefully he defends next to Brooks and is told to smash anyone that targets him.
