Wests sign Joel Edwards

With the intended movements in the roster at the end of this season, a back rower that provides defensive starch is the exact signing the club needed.

Don't think this guy broke the Budget Bank for us , i'd say welcome aboard and Good luck .

This might be the Career wake up call and last chance he needs .

What are you talking about, he's been a regular first grader since 2011\. Didn't play this yr due to injury. Idk why people are calling him a depth signing. Chee Kam, Rankin and Littlejohn are depth signings. Edwards will be a regular first grader if fit.

In my opinion a good signing given he has nearly 100 NRL games under his belt and can hit hard in defence which we need in our side. Nothing beats experience which we have lost with Galloway, Richards and maybe Farah.

Edwards is at a crossroads in his career so likely to put in a big effort to prove himself at a new club like Taupau and Austin did.

Given our apparent lack of money and lack of appeal for players to come to WT given our past history of coach changes and now the Marshall and Farah issues I think we are lucky to have any player want to come to our club.

Fringe first graders wanting to prove themselves are our current market.

Still would like to add one more prop and centre to our roster. Still think Adam Docker would add some value to our team with his big hits and NRL experience.

More than anything we need to settle the Farah situation asap or that will impact us doing the offseason and into season 2016.

Didn't Docker retire due to concussion?

Interesting… Wayne Bennett doesn't lose too many forwards, and he couldn't get a run in the Raiders pack?

Hopefully ready for a breakout season?!

I remember Wayne and the knights being all but floored when he decided to move on.
Dunno weather the Raiders through stupid money at him or what…

We def need this kind of player….defensive workhorse who can also put on a stinger.

IMO he is the best hitter in the comp!

I think this is a most astute buy!

Thanks for the footage Ghost.

I have always thought he went okay on the limited number of occasions that I have seen him play, but never realized he hit so well. Great vision and timing to hit so well and gets his head well out of the way.

Thumbs up signing for mine.

Thanks for those highlight packages guys. He'll do me! Plenty of guys will be looking for him in the defensive line and going the other way! Geez he can hit.

This could be a very handy , value for money pick up
Hits hard , runs hard
Replaces sauce I think
And when a player starts hitting the opposition hard it rubs off , we haven't really had this but now we have let's hope it rubs of on Marty , Sirro , sue , Ava
I like it

I'm not sure how Edwards replaces Keefy one's a back rower , one's a prop

Maybe as the token Ranga

The point youre missing milko is we dont know just how new recruits will turn out, until the pull our jersey on….people should at least give the guy a go before judging either way

I'm not against the signing ink,i just don't see him blossoming so late in his career, he will be another Lovett at best but i am happy to eat my words.

Most props blossom late in their careers.

He is a backrower[/quote

Penrith have confirmed Docker won't be there next yr. Hopefully the club has something left over and is interested.

I'd be pretty happy with Docker.
Word is that he's going to St George though.
