wow some teams are taking the 9's seriously .. the Slimies have named 14 1st graders i think .. while other teams have name 3 or 4 1st graders.

Clearly Madge rates this Matheson Jones fella. Maybe this is a test to see if he’ll get a top squad spot. It’s also a good way to help pick our back 5 with most of our outside backs playing.

I’m locked on like the Terminator...

We should’ve gone into this Mickey Mouse comp with either a full blown NRL squad (250k prize money ?) or a team full of mostly rookies and unknowns ..
Parra will most likely win this and the Media darlings will think the sun shines out of the skinny tankers backside ?

The additions to our squad this offseason will strengthen our squad, but for us to make th 8 this year we will need 4-5 players to stand up and vastly improve from last year. I hope one is Jennings, he certainly is starting from a low base. Other candidates for mine are Mbye, Packer, Alioai,

Well the last time they won it they finished 14th in the proper comp and they got stripped of the title eventually aswell sooooooooo

I agree with your list of potential improvers. Not sure he’s got it any more but I’d love to see McQueen make a return to form. Couple of games last year he was very busy off the ball. He is strong defensively as well. But not sure he has the motor any more

Very surprised but bring it on. Maybe some of the more senior players have trained well so we might see a big improvement in performance this year? That would be wonderful if they do.

Pretty sure it is.
It would of been more apt for this joke of a tournament to have rock, paper, scissors or pin the tail on the donkey decide conversions.....if you pin the Ass on the arse you get the 2.

There is that name Matheson Johns. Big things touted for this kid. Hope he might be the smoky for this season

Never heard of him 5150 , what position ...local junior ...star sign ....whatever you can supply would be nice

We snuck in under the guard of the Dragons and signed him .. Dragons had big hopes for this kid .. large lump of lad for centre but plenty field awareness about .. knows how to sniff out the try line .. Not the quickest, but with his size he carries and the above average speed he has .. he is a very much a handful for any centre out there .. not shy of taking a hit up the forwards to have a rest either. Will more than likely fill out some more and find himself as ball running backrower. Put this kid down as a smoky for the top grade later in the season .. !!

Yet somehow the dragons let him go. He signed a one year CC contract with the panthers and then got released again.

Now he's trialling for a CC contract with us.

Something doesn't add up.

He was dragons flegg player of the year but then walks out the door of two clubs in two years?

I'd certainly prefer him to Heleta or McGuiggan in the centres in CC, but jury is out and if he proves himself in CC then fantastic.

Obviously he's done something to impress Madge in the off season but game situations are a different proposition.
