Wests Tigers candidate Ivan Cleary admits he misses NRL coaching

If this is true and we havent got Cleary then this got a whole lot weiirder.

In my head im thiking that the team doesnt gel with taylor,so worried that they will lose players they organise Cleary and secure the signing of the four…...this makes pefect sense to me and i agree 100%,

But if they havent talked to the players and Cleary, and this is a knee jerk reaction to 2 losses against two top 4 sides then this is complete madness.....i dont rate JT at all and im glad to see him gone,but if this has been done im stunned.

Someones obviously telling porkies OR this is fair dinkum......i honestly dont know who to believe!
 
I honestly don't believe that they will have sacked JT without speaking to potential candidates first. You don't sack a bloke without an obvious replacement in the pipeline first.

The club and Cleary will both be cagey about it if they are already trying to negotiate a deal, they won't want it played out in the media, and it doesn't look good for the club that JT was backed throughout the off season and then axed three weeks in, lends credence to the thought that they were probably already in the market for a replacement and waiting for the right circumstances to move JT on.
 
Do not like quoting what comes out of the Telecrap but this morning had quote Cleary could be at the Tigers as early as next week ! Also stated the board will give him FULL control over football dept and all recruitment ..just looks like he and club have to work out a deal and he will accept the challenge .Interesting side note Cleary would be sizing which of the 4 off contract players he would retain.

Hope it's true. As I said before, if Cleary comes then kiss the "Big 4" goodbye. We will only see the face of Tedesco and possibly woods again.

Apprently Moses has been offered 900k by the Dogs, if you think Cleary, or any coach in the right mind would match that then goodluck.

Brooks, well no explination really needed. Unless he picks up his game DRAMATICALLY then he has no future in this game, he is poor in all facets of his game. The only thing I can really applaud is his short kicking game. If he really wants 900 aswell then goodness me.

For mine, it's between Hasler and Cleary. To me this explains the "we will take our time" statement as they will take some time to offer something to Hasler who is currently re-negotiating.

I think Toovey is an outside chance at best, Manly went downhill from the point he took over and any success was on the coat tails of Hasler's work.

I'd be surprised if Cleary has not been reviewing retention/recruitment and structures for some time. I cannot believe negotiations with the 4 players would not have the blessing of Cleary.

We all know its going to happen(Cleary appointment) …but "CEO of the Year" Pascoe is allowing the club to drift along by holding back the announcement...sheez I'm disliking that man more and more everyday!

Exactly, even though decision to appoint Cleary most likely made prior to sacking JT, have to make it look like the Tigers are carefully weighing up each candidates credentials.
