Spotted there yesterday with Jackson Hastings

Has a huge level of respect for tim sheens

Asked the club to fix a few things before he would come over and the club has done so

It's a good question 1963. We could be getting our hopes up because:
a) he doesn't come

b) he comes and doesn't perform

I've supported all the coaches for at least the first little while, and it will be the same, but far from confident.

Does WT have specialist Half Back coaches on staff, Maybe forwards need a Mentor and Backs need a sprint coach.

Maybe the support network around the players needs improvement.

Wests Tigers chairman Lee Hagipantelis has dismissed rumours that the club will sign highly sought-after coach Cameron Ciraldo as early as the end of the week and insisted the club is still on the hunt for their new head coach.

The Panthers assistant is arguably the most in-demand coach in the NRL and the Tigers have made it no secret that he is their preferred candidate to replace Michael Maguire.

Hagipantelis maintains that the club is still in the midst of its process for a new coach and Ciraldo, the club or any other candidates have made any decision.

“There is no light to shed,” Hagipantelis said on SEN 1170 Breakfast.

“The efforts for identifying and appointing a new coach continues.

“There have been a number of applications.

“We presented, as was widely reported, to a particular candidate (Ciraldo), a vision for the club.

“I think it was a compelling argument but we’re respectful of the process.

“We’re respectful of the decision that has to be made by all persons.”

Tigers general manager of football Tim Sheens stated on the day of Maguire’s sacking that the club was looking for a development coach and Ciraldo fits that mould.

Despite ongoing speculation, Hagipantelis said that his club has no time frame to which they expect to sign a new coach and will take as much time as necessary to find a new head coach.

“We are just continuing down that path of identifying the appropriate person.

“Hopefully within a week or two, a decision can be made and announced.

“There’s no urgency and there’s no timetable.

“What’s important is that we find the right person.”

The Tigers' next match is against the New Zealand Warriors who will return to Mt Smart Stadium for the first time since 2019.
