Wests Tigers Coaches

I will be interested to watch how Garner's career develops at Penrith. Many lamented him on this forum, I thought he hasn't reached his potential.

I love Garner as a bloke, He'll always have a dig.
Real tradesman
But I hardly think we've been holding him back - We didn't hold Matterson back a couple years ago....

Garners ceiling is one of the issues we have with him as a starting back rower.

We're his 3rd club, Panthers probably won't be his last - He's a worker but he needs to find another 30% to be considered a real loss.

I think his best outings this year have been in the centres...
If only he had a bit more feet and a touch of toe.

Garner can hit a gap and he'll enjoy running off Luai and Cleary. Thanks for responding.

The renowned history for sacking coaches I think has a lot to do with it. I'm sure the rookie coaches would be thinking if Madge couldn't do it, how can they. Not to mention the stench of their good names when they eventually get sacked.
Whichever way you look at it all (the recent reports on Brooks and Doueihi) it is a bit problematic and could also be further damaging to the club's reputation/brand.

A private conversation between the coach and a player has created unnecessary controversy.
Then a unhappy player (with club leaks) shows there may be undealt with conflicts at the team/club, and also possibly adds to the perception the club is unable to control or manage any internal crisis.
If a potential coach thinks they are powerless with basic decision making at the club - around team selections or roster building - and it's going to be scrutinised in the media, no proposal will make it seem more enticing.

I think it's important we maintain a professional handling with all procedures. Not gaining unwanted attention, especially because we're still in the process of finding our next coach and need players too.
We also have to prevent the loss of other key players and need to tread carefully with what message we send every player in our systems. Don't want anyone feeling discouraged either.

Sheens prob will takes us on for 2 years Robbie or Benji under his wing and then hand over the baton.
Great, the old boys club back and the football advancement goes backward for another 10 years....this club needs new fresh blood, not outdated club legends...they did their time and in all that time won a single premiership, the rest of the time those legends were telling people some coaches cant coach and were happy that Sheens was gone...now you want a remarriage ? not for me thanks...but your opinion is noted respectfully...

Hang on a tick sheens said he wanted to appoint some around august so they could start tinkering with our cap ready for next year the night madge was sacked on 360, now he's saying he wants to appoint someone by next year.
I watched/heard him say when he was chasing Ciraldo..he doesn’t want to put a deadline on it but in a way he has a self imposed deadline of November 1.

Also confirm that this is not true, CC & Woolf the only ones to knock us back as of today.
Woolf never got to an official offer stage I might add.
At least the club is gathering some external feedback. Better than those famous internal reviews.

Isn't Woolf committed to the Dolphins under Bennett in an understudy role and succession planning? The owner of the Warriors flew to the UK to sign him only to be rejected so signed Webster instead?
No. He's recently said he hasn't decided on what he's doing and when he decides, everyone will know.
