Wests Tigers in running to sign Elijah Taylor

We are apparently now the front runner according to the mole.

Really hope we get him, a backrow of Lawrence, Sue and Taylor would be pretty good.

I'm not sure he'll displace Sirro. I'd be looking at playing him off the bench to replace Sue in the middle of the field.

He's not a bench player, you'll get no impact from him. That's part of why he's been squeezed out at the Panthers who have prioritised attacking flair in their second row by going with Cartwright, Peachey and Merrin (for offloads and prop-like hit ups). Unlike the Panthers (currently playing with a spine of Will Smith, Martin, Soward and Wallace) we have plenty of attacking flair elsewhere in our squad.

The Milkster has become rather cranky old head in the last 12 months.

No i haven't, but enough is enough.

You have mate and this isn't the first time someone has called you out on being a grump.

Well then deal with it.

Demps, im not a female.

Nah I think you should just stop being such a cliche mate.

You've gone through these phases as we've watched you grow up.

Youngster - Naive, learning, wants to know everything, overeager … everyone bagging you out were being ridiculous
Teenager - Knows everything, you're not my dad ... you're being ridiculous

Next step is where the rest of us are at, apathetic adult, what's in the fridge... and you'll be embarrassed about how you're acting now. Just stop being such a grump mate. And while you are typing up your ragepost response to this comment, reconsider it before hitting submit. The advice is sound. What would future Milky say.

I'd be happy for any first grade backrower starting next week, it's our biggest depth concern for mine. We're already out of second rowers and it's only march.

Also this is a Mole article, so it's all conjecture. Someone at RLW sees that a bloke isn't getting much game time and is off contract, and it's easy to name a couple of clubs that could use a backrower. No doubt Taylor's manager has sniffed around every club from Campbelltown to Catalan to see who's interested, so RLW's guaranteed to be half right whatever they print.

I will believe it when it happens, so many rumours surrounding player movements that only a fraction ever are true. But here's hoping anyway!!

Well it's not so much a rumour that we're in talks with him, the rumour would be that we're favourites to sign him.

By the sounds of it a decision would be made one way or another pretty soon. Either Panthers say you're not going anywhere this season, or they agree to what's in the best interests of the the player.

There's 4-5 interested clubs it seems, so we're in with a shot but there's no point talking about it to death until it happens. I'd say he'd start at lock with Sue back to the bench as an impact prop/lock. Still too many mistakes in Sue.

Panthers just released Chris Smith to the roosters. Hopefully release Elijah Taylor to us!

All good players released by clubs go to either the Roosters or Eels…not us sadly
