In this podcast we discuss the appointment of Moses Mbye as the club’s stand alone captain and whether this is a surprise, as well as whether the appointment of Moses is a positive or negative.

Listen to it last night Eddie, once again you and Joel did a great job. My take on Moses M being captain, 1 he is assured of selection, 2 full backs get a good idea of what’s happening looking from the back and finally he is very good in front of the media…talks well and presents well

Thanks for the report. The fitness level is positive. This time last year Lolohea was overweight and looked slow in ISP/ NRL trials.

I was interested in your comment Joel that you think Matterson will play lock. I thought I read somewhere that he came to the Tigers for an opportunity to play on the right edge. If so, then he may not be a happy camper.
 
Yep another well balanced and well presented podcast. I would think Matterson is a special for the backrowers and Taylor will be at lock for the opening round.
Also on our attack being so inefficient last season, most of it was due to the fact we had no no9 for most of the year and Cleary’s tacticof using the backs to basically do all the hit ups so the forwards were fresh to defend added to our attacking woes.

Next Poddy will be a big one….NRL to hand down their decision and a preview of our first hit out

Loved the latest episode. Great quality and sounds professionally done. There was another article saying Matterson wants to stick to the 2nd row. Good to hear your insights from you being there at the Magpies trial. the warm up with Madge's / Hodgson's coaching from the sideline. Thanks for all detail.
