Wests Tigers Sack Jason Taylor - OFFICIAL..

Starting to think about it, IF Cleary was to come this year, he is going to have difficulty putting together the coaching team he wants and I assume h ewill have to adopt Taylors team to start with. Im sure Cleary would have some friends still at the Warriors that would give him the heads up on Webster and would know Pascoe from Penrith

He'll get nothing out of this year, no coach appointed for next year will. I'd just keep Webster there for the year and allow whoever is signed the entire season to get the house in order for next year.

I dont think any incoming coach will have an issue this year. I don't think the board will hold him accountable for this year and he will have a real shot at getting the team he wants for next year with cap space and a somewhat loaded cheque book.

The club is currently in last place so not getting the spoon would be an achievement and he gets to see who in the current squad is really worth keeping while scoping replacements.

We think the sacking of JT may have been to appease the 4 but, what if it is an effort to take back control from the 4.

Just saw Benny Elias on NRL 360

Please gag him he is divisive and pulling this club apart. He blames the West Magpies board members as the problem to all the issues. He has dissolved all Balmain responsibility of all decisions over the past few years.

He is technically correct.
Balmain side of the Jv has no votes on the board.
All decisions are made by Wests and the NRL appointed board members.

Giving the board both barrels.

Both segments were epic..I did see a little Irony that he called out the Wests Tigers Board after saying how well he had served on the Balmain and Wests Tigers Boards in the past…

His toe to toe with Buzz on the Simona interview and journalistic responsibility also cracked me up...

I think you missed Lidcombe Magpies point. It is almost entirely Bennys fault that Balmain has no votes on the board. It was Benny that was responsible for the horrific Rozelle Village disaster which has been respoonsible for all of Balmains financial woes and therefore losing their votes on the board.

Mate I was one of the most staunchest Balmain supporters of all time,I liked that we amalgamated with the Maggies and are now the WTs….but I have never had the time for Benny after football,he is a typical " look at me type of guy" and I don't care for that crap,I would rather he did some decent community work rather than be known as the demise of the great Balmain Tigers Football Club...

They have 2 members on the board and that has only been for the last year before that it was even

LOL…the irony wasnt lost on me.
Someone should tell him solariums arent good for you these days, the eye & cheek lift though has taken 10 years off him.
Dont know why I watch that trash....I swear Rottfield was making it up as he was going along, like a kid telling porkies to his mates and getting encouragement from their interest...hes a sad mofo

Yeah that's common knowledge. I'm one of his biggest critics.
Still doesn't change the fact that Balmain side have no voting powers in the board room. None.
So he is technically correct.
Balmain and Wests will always be at each other and this is just another case of it.
Blame game is our game.

I agree the Board is a dead loss at present. Marina Go knows absolutely zip about football. Cut her and put a person who has business acumen but also a knowledge and love of the game. As much as I dislike Gus Gould he knows the game and direct a club well.

Haha thought the same thing when i saw Benny- he is looking very Shane Warne Thunderbirds-are-go these days. Absolutely loved him as a player, a dead-set champion but post-footy he is just an egotistical windbag.
Buzz absolutely loved sinking the slipper into WT- I dare say he was standing to attention underneath that table, he was getting fairly excitable.

Pity no-one had the guts to put it to Backdoor that it was his shady dealing's that helped send Balmain Leagues up the poop-chute.

Time to get really serious about who comes in next.
There are a lot of coaches out there but we really need a coach the players and board will respect and not dare to fart around. A Dean Pay or an Ivan Cleary will stand their ground, and I'm sure that's what Robbie was longing for. Any how time for wisdom to take over and no more ridiculous decision making. Out of the four amigos we need to secure teddy the others need to take a cold shower. In the mean time we need to find big and mobile kasianos, Pritchards, etc our halves need to be solid defenders, our centres need to be fastidious opportunist always on actuve duty not part time personnel. I don't care if we sign the 4, we need to give the newer kids a better example and better guidance. Ricky stuart did it in the face of adversity but he did it and did it good.

WOW!! The players have sent the last 3 coaches packing. If I was looking for a coaching job, I'm not sure Wests Tigers would be the place I'd hang my hat. Let’s face it, if trends mean anything the player group will have you out on your backside in 18 months. If coaching records mean anything, Mick Potter was a good coach, as was Tim Sheens, while I'm at it, Taylor should not be blamed for that disgrace yesterday - that's a collection of individuals in the same uniform - No TEAM to be coached there at the minute. So unless Cleary. Payten or Toovs want to NEVER coach, EVER again - then I'd accept the poison challis of Head Coach Wests Tigers. Maybe I'm too old and grumpy these days, but I remember Western Suburbs and Balmain teams that had less talent and less possibility of making the semis but geezz, they'd bleed for each other. Already, I can see Woods is playing this season for the prized second third of the season - a comfortable $150K to be made in 8 weeks. Tedesco, Brooks and Moses appeared to be letting reputation secure them a berth elsewhere. Finally, I'd love a chat with the board right now. So last year while the coach was left as the scapegoat in regards to the incumbent NSW hooker not being good enough to make the top 18 at his club level, the board was "Jason has our full support". Now that the deed is done, and - surprisingly - the coach doesn’t have the confidence of the players, the board now feel they can discard him. In respect to our illustrious chair Marina Go, this link is less than 3 weeks old ( https://m.nrl.com/qa-with-wests-tigers-chair-marina-go/tabid/10874/newsid/84127/default.aspx ) Don’t worry Marina, James, Simon, Rosie, Mike, Mick, Rick and Tone, you have the full support of the fan base. Our combined History’s deserve better than this collection of self important imbeciles. Oh! What I’d give for a billionaire philanthropist to buy the Wests Tigers and run the place properly.
That should do me for another year or so
